Gunnerkrigg Court && Homestuck = ??? Two of the best comics on the internet, and they both have that 'alchemy' theme. So: A dedicated thread in which we alchemize items for them together. But also for general GC / Homestuck crossovers if people want to put them here. There seems to be a lot of overlap in the fanbase so I don't think this is a waste of a new thread. I'll take any requests or suggestions!

Mort: Combine coyote tooth blade and straight razor.
You make the GILLITIE RAZOR.
It's the best a ghost can get.

Paz: Combine headband of +1 heterosexuality and hubtopband.
You make the HAIRTERONORMATIVE COMPUBAND, a hands-free computing device in a colour of your preference.

Antimony: Combine bronzed vacuum and boxbot.
You make the TERRIBLE BRONZE STATUE.
What an awful waste of grist.
...Maybe you can put a blanket over it.

Antimony: Combine matrilinear pendants and Ψdon's Entente.
You spend some rare and archaic grist to make the NEWTON'S φGHTING PRONG.
The weapon crackles with majyyk enyrjjies. Several universes away, the famous alchemist Troll Isaac Newton sheds a single tear of vitreous liquid awe.

Plot bunny:
The students receive the Sburb discs. Kat and Jack collaborate to hack into the Court's computer network and run the game from those servers. As a result, the entire Court, and everyone in it, enters the Medium.

Haha, this thread is great. Rose's hair is kind of short to be Annie though, isn't it? Although I guess using Jade for Annie wouldn't look right either.....

Rose's face plus Aradia's hair might make for a decent Annie sprite.

Let's say her hair's just tied back in those sprites. Kat's hair is going to be unusually tame too. Kat: Combine Boxbot and iPhone.
You make the TERRIBLE MUSIC PLAYER.
Why... Why did you think that was a good idea.

Zimmy: Combine possessed toy, ink of squid pro quo, and terrifying wolf head trophy.
You make the NIGHTMARE DOG.
Oh yeah. You've run into one of these things before.
You had to kill it with a coathanger.

I wonder if it would be possible, with the right combination, to remove the terribleness from Boxbot. Maybe using an SBaHJ comic. Or is the idea flawed from the outset because Boxbot is some kind of platonic ideal of terribleness?
Alternately, just combine Boxbot and Johnny 5. Some would call it cruel to Johnny 5, but he's just a tin can. It's not like he has feelings.

Huh. Looks like it's theoretically possible.
But one of the requisites is some sort of completely unfamiliar resource.
Also, the amount of artifact grist you would need is simultaneously off the charts and off the hook. The amount wants nothing to do with the charts, which in turn are completely isolated from the hook. Things tend to hang themselves on hooks around you, but in this case the charts remain resolutely un-hung.

Not a sprite but I had to. (image) Wow, that's awesome. HAIRTERONORMATIVE COMPUBAND ((image)) Unfortunately this doesn't show up for me? Alternately, just combine Boxbot and Johnny 5. Some would call it cruel to Johnny 5, but he's just a tin can. It's not like he has feelings. Kat: Combine Boxbot and Johnny 5.
The cost is immense, and you use up most of your coveted AWFULNESS GRIST. The result is the JONBOPTOXOTTY -5, apparently.
You kind of stare at it for a while.
If this turns out to be a more mobile Boxbot who talks about his emotions incessantly, you're going to have to alchemize a gun.

Antimony: Combine blinker stone and Cosbytop.
You make the GHOST DAD ETHERNET ADAPTER.
Even if you did own a computer, this thing is completely intangible!
You guess you might give it to Mrs Donlan as a gift. Or would that be weird? You decide that no, it wouldn't be too weird. You're not sure how to carry it, though.

It was a picture of Don Draper laughing into his whiskey, to express my mirth at the many delicious puns present in the phrase "HAIRTERONORMATIVE COMPUBAND".
Also, GHOST DAD ETHERNET ADAPTER actually made me cackle out loud. Thank god nobody is home...
Edit: Gerdammit! Why do img want to crap out on me all of a sudden?

Hey, that's a sweet Hero Mode Parley. Kat: Combine jar of origami stars and human brain in jar.
You make the SENTIENT ORIGAMI STARS.
You're not really sure about the ethical implications of this.

I wonder what the medium entry planet for GKC would be after the whole court entered the medium?
The format for all worlds is Land of [linked to player aspect] and [associated/opposing classical element to title].
An example would be Land of Wind (linked to Breath) and Shade (opposing his titles classical element of light.) For the Nobles this was changed to [Buildings associated with Nobles and Death] and [Associated/Opposing Noble Gas] to reflect that they created there planets without prototyping and because the title also has a connection to there planet, resulting in a special session with only dead/zombie denizens.
I think to answer these questions we would have to decide which players protyped (to decide which players get there own planet and gate in the medium) and what there God Tier elements would be.

I'd imagine that it's a situation opposite to Caliborn's. That is to say that since there are so many players in a single area they all get a singular planet and all must work to unlock their own. It's less like hard mode and more of an effective difficulty spike due to the sheer number of people clustered together.

It doesn't leave much room for fanart though, cause it's too difficult to make as dead sessions are boring on the surface until a stupid amount of work is done.
I would like to see it as a few select dorms start the game not expecting it to do anything, or only those on the power station at the time get pulled into the medium and gave planets.
And the God coyote protypes himself somehow, cause of shenanigans (that could be more terrifying than lord english.)

Any thoughts on what Classes our main cast would get? Obviously the Court Staff are Guardians. Who's the First Guardian?
