Fantastic update. Not at all surprised that Reynardine tried to save Annie. Of course, he'll later pass it off as a consequence of the bond of ownership, but it's been pretty obvious that he cares for Annie to some degree. Coyote is mysteriously absent in this update. I suspect he's going to call off the attack once he recovers. Although that won't be the last of it. Is it because of Annie though? Or is it more or less her connection with Surma?

But he did try to take Annie's body way back when in Chapter 3 and so would've killed her then. Obviously his feelings have changed. (Unless of course he knew there was a way to leave her body without destroying her mind.)
