Animated series, more likely.
Then the children of the world can look forward to overpriced plastic playsets and action figures, and Kat's hoverbike will shoot little spring-loaded plastic missiles. Girls will be walking around with backpacks made to look like Reynardine or Mort or something. Then everybody who loved GC before will have to act cool, and hate it for selling out and Tom will weep atop his hills of money and jewels.
Before spending it on an awesome vacation to Canada or Cuba or the Caribbean or something.

I'd ask whether there's been any Ralph Steadman influence (especially after the donkey picture), but I'm not sure whether that would be a stupid question or not. Oh, well. This is a whole lotta awesome, and it's probably a good thing you aren't posting it all at once or we might start imploding or something.

Before spending it on an awesome vacation to Canada or Cuba or the Caribbean or something. That's the price of success. Speaking for myself, if I were in Tom's position, giving up rights (or not) to my characters would be one of the hardest decisions I'd ever have to make. They can become so real (and need to be for them to be believable) that it would be akin to selling my children into slavery. Yet without that royalty income to free up time, other characters may never be born - or die alone, never having been witnessed by adoring fans. Maybe that's a little melodramatic, but in any case, don't be too harsh on people that "sell out". (Yes, I know the quoted post was tongue-in-cheek )

I'd make some comment about Tom's possible political affiliations, but I A) Don't give a damn and B) Tom's UK, right? I'd make a comment about how a donkey punch is actually a sexual term with a meaning far removed from politics, but I'd like to preserve the youthful innocence of this forum. Whoops! >:}

Mornin Tom. I always lost those bloody missile things. Um, yeah, this is why I don't post at night.
GC can sell out all it wants, if that means we get daily updates, GC: The Movie, and action figures. Who would be the character's voice-actors?

I can't die without a Reynardine wolf doll.

Yes, he does draw things. Drawing of one of my characters, which I still love him forever for. First drawing of that character Second drawing of that character, which he didn't like but I thought was cool. Hi I'm Aaron UmJammer Lammy in Samus Aran's armor He also does photoshops! From a thread where the theme was to rice out everything.

I don't think enough people are looking at this fantastic art that I posted of Tom's. I also have something none of you have (except maybe one or two). PICTURES OF TOM! I like to remind him of this fact every now and then But at Tom's request I will not post them. Not that I haven't in the past (in fact I turned one into a FYAD flag), but I never identified him. EDIT: He also made this sig pic of me, for me, a few years back.

oora, what's that symbol on your sig's shirt? It's also on Gamma's shirt in one of Tom's old DA pics.

Oooh, I was wondering if Tom had actually drawn those... It wasn't quite clear and I didn't want to hope too much. Those ones are v. fine, thanks for them. As for RL pictures of Tom, I like to think of him more as the rocket launching psycho-grin guy. ^^

You'd have to ask Tom, I'm not sure if that's something that's okay for me to talk about. (in regards to the symbol on my shirt/other things)
Seriously. I'd tell you otherwise.
And the rocket-launching psycho guy is a pretty accurate depiction.

And the rocket-launching psycho guy is a pretty accurate depiction. That's cool... in a sort of really scary sort of way. We also see that image on the shoulder of the JSRF girl telling Tea-san he's dreamy. At least, I think that's a JSRF girl.

... well it's actually the second time you've posted that symbol. It's also on dream girl's shoulder in your "tea-san you so dreamy" pic. I'm too lazy to go dig around his DA site. I'm not that curious.

It's also in various places in Gunnerkrigg, for the sharp-eyed and curious. Perhaps a separate thread could even be started, if anyone is so inclined.

... but oora, what would we call that thread? sorry, you're not supposed to name the symbol, right? or can you name it and withold the meaning?

I dunno. "The mysterious recurring symbol?"
It'd be fun, especially since how GC's readership loves to analyze and deduce things. I'd greatly enjoy reading such a thread, personally, but I'm the wrong person to start it.

If you're going to gripe at me, the least you could do is register an account to do it with. oora- I'm not sure that it 'really' has anything to do with the comic, like the fact that we can see some MGS3 references, but that it's just fun to go looking for while waiting for the comic. That sound remotely close?

huh?? you are a sensitive one aren't you? I don't know how you read that I was "griping at you". If you carefully read my banter with oora, you should see that I was taunting him, not you. he's the one who was dangling forbidden carrots in front of our eyes. he's the one who might get in trouble with Tom for letting this cat out of the bag. he could have simply said no comment. but I get the feeling oora likes cat and mouse.
people aren't always talking about you Aspen.

Tut tut tut, Don't start any drama now! Not in Tom's art thread, of all places. I have to say this mysterious symbol is really intriguing though, I never even noticed it before! Seriously, how many artists have a cool little hidden thing in what they draw? Tom you rule

You should draw some new stuff, I seen all that before! Cool stuff like the fairy tale drawings from your DA gallery, there was a lot of interesting stuff going on in those. Or they were just weird like the poor shark guy.

Considering some people on this board have been calling you 'oora' you should look into the possibility of a hair force man.
