Better questions: Who is LLanwellyn? Why would he go crazy if he thought (Willie and Janet were dating) it was true? Who is Bud talking to? Lindsey? Is he aware that Annie can hear him? Does he care?
When will this chapter end?

Llanwellyn is the Headmaster, Janet's father.

Wow, Bud once again reinforces that he's a cool dude. Not too surprised that they've been under surveillance this whole time.

Llanwellyn is the Headmaster, Janet's father. That's what I figured too, but I can't find it referenced anywhere in the comic.

He's chatting with Lindsey, I assume. But is he covering for William & Janet?

Llanwellyn is the Headmaster, Janet's father. That's what I figured too, but I can't find it referenced anywhere in the comic. I don't think he's ever been called Llanwellyn in the comic, but she's been referenced as the Headmaster's daughter several times and also called Janet Llanwellyn. It's an easy enough jump to make in context. I'm surprised Bud was taken in by Willie and Janet's act, unless he's not. I suppose that depends on whether he's talking to Lindsay or someone he's less loyal to.

awesome Bud is awesome. It looks like he is talking to his wife, so I don't think he's lying about Janet and Winsbury. It's pretty funny that bud is doing basically the same mistake that anny did when she first got her blinker stone. What mistake do you mean?

So Janet and Willie have successfully evaded the Court's surveillance all this time? Wow, maybe they really are secret agents? Jack should probably ask them for a consult before he starts exploring again, since they're clearly much better than him at the whole 'not being detected' thing.
Alternatively, Bud already knew they were an item but briefly thought that their obviously made up story meant that they actually weren't together and it's the idea that Janet has only been pretending to be in a relationship that would drive her father crazy. Yes, that makes much more sense.

Is it just me or does Bud's spirit form look like something out of the Legend of Zelda?
The Molgera from Wind Waker or the Gyorg Pair from Minish Cap or Twinmold from Majora's Mask perhaps?

The position of the eye upon the hair appears to be directly over the center of her eyebrows. Ms. Third Mystic Eye.

The eye in the hair reminds me of the treatise where annie is shown with an eye in her hair, but that looked more like coyote's eye in that instance.

It's pretty funny that bud is doing basically the same mistake that anny did when she first got her blinker stone. What mistake do you mean? He believes in wireless security. As in, - I stand glowing like a lamp...
- ...in the world of transparent shapes...
- ...in perpetual twilight...
- ...and no one unintended can see me.
- pick any three and it could be okay, but with all statements at once - there's one too much.

My prediction for next page or two:
Annie's eavesdropping will catch some very important information that moves the plot forward or works as a twist somehow leading into the next chapter. The chapter will end immediately after this information is revealed.

I wonder if Bud's true self is also massive, which would add extreme size-shifting to his abilities.
EDIT: Also, "a few people" keeping tabs on Jack? Then again, given his recent history . . .

Looks like Court already knew about all this... Or here are a third agency... Next page: Bud gives his thoughts about Annie and Kat. Bud: I totally ship them together. Lindsey: > Bud: What?? +100))) Also: May be NOW we will see true THIRD short Story?

Also: May be NOW we will see true THIRD short Story? We already have: Margo & John, Matt then Janet & Winsbury. I'm guessing it's Lindsey he's talking to. I thought they'd be kept under surveillance.

I wonder why she can't hear what whoever bud is talking to is saying. Maybe it works on the same principle as eavesdropping on a guy in the same room talking to a phone. You can hear his side of the conversation, but you'll have trouble hearing the other end of the conversation. Except, you know, etheric.

Long-time reader, first-time poster here. Just wanted to say that I've really been enjoying this current arc. The art in today's comic is especially well-done. Keep up the good work, Tom.

Also, "a few people" keeping tabs on Jack? Then again, given his recent history . . . If his romantic intentions toward Zimmy are known that might also have something to do with the number of watchers. I am not much on shipping but I'd like to be watching when Jack makes his play for either Zimmy or Zimmy and Gamma. I'm curious to see what strategy he comes up with, not to mention the response. PS: Welcome to the forum, Darius! We have an introductions thread but it is completely optional.

Also, "a few people" keeping tabs on Jack? Then again, given his recent history . . . If his romantic intentions toward Zimmy are known that might also have something to do with the number of watchers. That's just sounds like the lot of the Court people are shippers. They seriously need better things to do in their free time Seriously, though, I think it has more to do with his abilities. The kid did turn on that whole etheric power plant thing thanks to Whitelegs before, and it's shown that he's now imbibed some of the technical (and possibly etheric) knowhow from his previous experiences. Not someone you'd want to just run loose.
