Why is Kat acting so ashamed? As well she should be. ("Oh Kat: that's terrible!") (Once more my site links have stopped working. Most annoying, but I seem to have a fix now.)

Let's hope Kat never has reason to sing the second verse.

Come on, we need a part 2 now. You started it, now it must be finished. Doesn't need to be you though, lemme think about it I'm kicking around a few ideas, but I'd love to see yours too.

There you go: Now it's up to someone else to finish it PS: I had to include Paz at the end because of the following "go ahead and leave me" but couldn't find any other word to rhyme with "learned" nor a suitable replacement for it in the next sentence.

Y'all can't say I didn't give enough time for someone else to finish it. Sorry, couldn't resist so I did it myself There you go: Now it's up to someone else to finish it PS: I had to include Paz at the end because of the following "go ahead and leave me" but couldn't find any other word to rhyme with "learned" nor a suitable replacement for it in the next sentence. Part 3: The final touch of the 3 kinds of speech bubble overlapping is meant to produce the effect of the human and robotic voices overlapping and coming from all around the reader. Tell me if it was effective!

(I would have actually referred to cake this time, using this page.)
I really liked the overlapping speech bubbles - ominous (Although simply showing the angel without any speech bubble might have been even more ominous.) I admit I did not see it so much as specifically a human and a robotic voice overlapping, but just the angel speaking with many different voices. Looking at it again, it makes perfect sense, of course. What I still don't see, though, is the voices coming from around the reader.

Now I'm irritated that I didn't remember that strip! And yeah, admittedly even the lyrics don't have that final line but since it's in text format I didn't think everyone would guess there's this last unwritten bit to the song and I couldn't let it be left out (and by "it" I mean the final realization after the slow descent into negation and despair the original had). About the subvocalization influence, I just didn't phrase it well enough what the intent was. Replace the "coming from all around the reader" with "without a distinct source for where it's coming from" so that it makes more sense. That's the reason I gave more emphasis to the narrative bubble than the human and robot ones PS: and I just realized I forgot to change the color of the robotic speech bubble, now it will permanently have Robot's green tint

Y'all can't say I didn't give enough time for someone else to finish it. Sorry, couldn't resist so I did it myself *great work* This was a triumph and - I note - a huge success. I do also think the the final panel without the text would have been more ominous, but even so it has a considerable impact. I also love how you used Zimmy there. Just perfect there.

A few hours' work, inspired by the above ingenuity:It occurs to me now that editing is really time-consuming. I have a newfound respect for all the comic-remixers here.

Never played Portal and know not much about it, but that robot makes me think of the thousand eyes of the tic-toc, with its similiarities to a surveillance system.

GLaDOS does indeed have a surveillance system, along with pretty much everything else she has as the one running pretty much the entirety of Aperture's test chambers.
Thankfully, a lot of her other... eccentricities don't appear to be shared by the tic-tocs.

The portal gun is not a prop. PS: but the long fall boots are because that's bullshit and she just used anti-gravity to make it work instead
