Any words you might find other than the ones listed, are purely accidental.

Polling didn't predict Gunnerkrexit either. No one really wanted a ravine, they just wanted to protest against something somehow.

This is my first real contribution to this thread: I don't think City Face is actually that stupid, though.

Someone want to take a request from me?
PM me if so. Normally I'd do it myself but I'm short on time these days.
Also, I don't have the Gunnerkrigg script enabled currently.

Should properly be in the boxbot thread. Also, I was thinking of making something similar.

You should be. This is worse than laughing at dead baby jokes. Good work! Not exactly dead babies, but probably dead people. As an American with pre-existing medical conditions, I would not be able to get health care were it not for the PPACA. I can quite literally say that I would not be alive were it not for the ACA ("Obamacare," as it's also called.) If it gets repealed, there is a high chance that I won't live to see the next election (Trump vs Warren 2020?) So while you may not be laughing at dead babies, you might be laughing at a dead me. And ya know what? I'm okay with people making jokes about it. If I'm a few years away from death, I better darn well enjoy myself. And if by some miricale I manage to survive the next four or eight years, comedy will make it go faster. I got a chuckle out of your edited strip, sotha, so thanks for that

I can quite literally say that I would not be alive were it not for the ACA ("Obamacare," as it's also called.) If it gets repealed, there is a high chance that I won't live to see the next election (Trump vs Warren 2020?) That depends on what replaces Obamacare. If it's the same as what the Washington state legislature put in when it repealed Hillarycare in 1995, you may not have a problem. If you already have medical-care insurance, you'd be free to switch to any other insurer offering coverage in your area. They could not refuse you, require a medical exam or questionnaire, delay coverage of existing conditions, or switch you to a different higher-premium risk pool. (And as a matter of law 90% of new applicants were in the low-risk pool.) (Let your coverage lapse for more than 3 months, though, and you're fair game.) There was also a subsidy program for people in the high-risk pool. That system seemed to work pretty well.

I mean font. There's a computer font that emulates Tom's lettering, and I don't have it installed. It's not "a font that emulates Tom’s lettering", though, it’s just a font that Tom found online and uses for the comic. It’s made by Nate Piekos, a professional comic letterer, and it can be freely used by anyone for pretty much any purpose.

We sorta emulate Tom's lettering in that we'd have to know his software and settings to match it exactly. I find that with colour #202020, 8 points and bold, the result is close in Paint Shop Pro. However, I think Tom's is somewhere between 8 and 9 points, and his bold is some kind of double-bold?

In the Dutch translation I use black, 9 points, not bold ( but I guess your settings might be closer.) If Tom uses bold in the comic, I simply type the word twice. Bold takes up a lot of space in Ale and Wenches, and especially in the beginning of GKC Tom made the bubbles a bit cramped.

I manually add an extra pixel of line spacing with 8 points. With 9 you get the proper vertical spacing, but it takes more horizontal space and looks too skinny if not bolded. I suppose Tom makes these in a completely different format and scales them down for web publication (or they wouldn't look good in print).

Please find some other venue to try to start fights. I think we'd rather argue about Gunnerkrigg Court matters here.

It's referencing the Time Cube. The original site has expired but here's a faithful recreation.
