No one has stipulated a gender restriction on the Headband (+5 Straightness). Also, Faraway Morning is the gift that keeps on giving. This is a masterwork headband of the finest quality. The body of the headband is made of sturdy but flexible pink plastic. Attached to the outside is the likeness of a daisy, approximately an inch across and executed in white and yellow plastic. On the inside of the headband opposite the flower is the maker's mark, in common runes. It reads "Made in China".
A successful detect magic check of DC10 will reveal that this headband adds 5 to straightness when worn.I have emerged from my binge of the photoshop thread to recognize this archaic DF reference. I love you.

Wait, Kat is daydreaming that Robox is cool? She's daydreaming about Boxbot because he's cool. Whoa... that type of thinking is discriminated against Though it does explain her collection.

She's daydreaming about Boxbot because he's cool. Did you just mistake Robox for Boxbot? How could you. He's awesome, not terrible!

After what may have been my shortest archive binge to date, I would have to agree; it is good taste in webcomics. Now I'm stuck waiting up to a month for the next page...

I once sent him an email politely asking him why he had so much time to set up a kickstarter to make a butt-load of money, and yet almost none to actually work on his comic. I got a very defensive response that essentially did not offer an explanation. Probably my favorite comic besides rice boy, but unfortunately it feels like turning out pages is on the back burner for him.

Hmm, got that one saved for the next time I have tie for an archive binge then, given the recommendations.

Yeah I've been reading DC since mid 2009, I think I witnessed about 3 dozen new pages by Diaz himself. That the dude still has readers is a testament to the quality he churns out at that slow pace. Although to be fair, some of his side projects are pretty awesome.

Some time later... [human_buisnesswoman.png] She doesn't need the stereotypical businessman/businesswoman briefcase, because Renard can hold all the stuff for her (maybe it could go either way..if Bobeyes can be a "businessman" then I guess why not Annie :P) (I'm going to ignore the part where I spelt it wrong anyways)

I think all paradigm shifts are pretty dynamic, Mrs. Human Businesswoman.

Wonder what Reynard's reaction to all this would be? xD

Didn't expect it to be THAT short given it started 5+ years ago! And the last page cuts off at the start of a fight? a month ago? gah!

I realize the guy is trying to hustle a living like the rest of us, but even that would probably be best served by updating more often, or at least according to a schedule. Then again, I don't know his personal life or work situation.

On the plus side, unlike a lot of webcomics that can have months or more in between updates, Dresden does continue updating and hasn't just disappeared entirely. It may be a while yet, but you can still be confident that another page will indeed be coming out eventually.

Aaron Diaz works on Dresden Codak full-time. Updates are spaced so far apart because he is, by his own admission, a slow artist and the pages are incredibly detailed.

I think the main issue with DC that I find (rather than the slowness) is that while the art is amazing, the layout, wording and story are quite hard to follow ever since Hob ended. It seems almost pretentiously impenetrable at times. Plus there's that not-so-subtle fetishisation of Kim, who is a fairly broken individual in more ways than one.

Hob was definitely his best work so far. I like where the new plot-line is going, but as I said earlier, the glacial pace is making it seem like a bunch of obscure references that will never be fully explained. Mezzode is an awesome word for mechanically augmented humans though, and I think I will use it in the future.

I do like it, and I can appreciate the slow pace to an extent given the very large size of most of the update pages, and the artwork and style does give it more of the feeling of an "epic" style story, rather than the smaller, self-contained yet all-fit-together style stories of Gunnerkrigg.
I can't believe it is his full-time thing though, you can't make a living off 1 page every 1-2 months surely!
