I know how Gunnerkrigg Court ends. I have discovered a single comic strip from the final chapter. Tensions have risen and it is the breaking point in this stunning conclusion.  There are too many to list here, so I'll just quote the one that really got me into this thread. |

The Dickcharney comic reminds me of a thing I almost did once. I couldn't do it now the way it was intended, but I could maybe approximate it. Hmm. It might still be fun.

Our FAVORITE post from this thread?! Ooh, tough call. As a compromise, I decided to break it into 3 categories - Sheer Weirdness, Meme Progenitors, and Best Overall - and chose one from each.
Best Overall: I'm picturing Anthony donning a red wig now and saying "I am." Ask, and ye shall receive.  I couldn't stop, sorry.   Sheer Weirdness:  I have no idea what I'm doing. Also, and honorary mention for the only edit in this thread which mentions me personally, and was made entirely in response to my own silliness (I'm still so proud of that, honestly): You never know until you try! *immediately goes on an old Belgo/French comic book reading binge*  |

I was a bit worried about creating it since, as you say, it directly points its finger at a member on this forum and that can always be iffy and be taken the wrong way, even though it was just meant to be a serial escalation of the discussion at hand for humorous effect. Once I saw you were one of the people voting up that post I had a sigh of relief. Anyway: two of my favorite image manipulations has already been mentioned on this page: the one where Tony dons Antimony's hair and make-up while claiming to be the protagonist and the Still Alive pages. The last one of my favorites I don't even know if it still exists on its original image hosting site so it might not even still be in the thread, but it depicted Jones donning the Batman outfit on the last panel on this page while claiming to be Batman. |

Ah man, I'm going down a journey of the thread now, so here's some scrollstoppers for me: First: just being a little meta here, I'm at a loss for words! Another crossover event occurs in the GCU! Now that I've started, I can't stop.  When Y was being a terrible goose Amazing. Also. Do a series of GIFs of Annie shooshing and papping Ysengrin back to calmitude.  I think this is a prequel to that Jones as Batman image? But the biggest thing I've learned from those first 20 pages (I'll check the rest out later, I wanna see whether my own contributions stand the test of time) is that so much got lost, like tears in the rain... Time to die... |
