I wonder who exactly Gamma thinks Zimmy is.

It doesn't appear that Gamma can see the Zimmy we see at all.

Last panel.
Gamma is speaking. It's a speech bubble, not a think-bubble

By the way, in my opinion the body language and physicality of the situation is very well drawn here. I especially noted frame 2 and frame 6 for being very realistic and dynamic and conveying a real sense of tension and action.

Last panel. Gamma is speaking. It's a speech bubble, not a think-bubble Yes, she's probably out of telepathy range at that point. But 'Zimmy' in Polish is... 'Zimmy'. I saw it differently. Panel 7: Gamma's POV: Gamma is calling Annie in her mind. She thinks 'Zimmy' because she believes Annie is Zimmy. Notice that Zimmy does not appear beside her. Panel 8: Annie is calling Zimmy from the depths of the house. Zimmy is suddenly standing next to Gamma. I believe we see her because it's Annie's POV. Theory: I think Gammy can't see the Zimmy who is standing next to her. Maybe because she's not there, and Annie is imagining her. I need this explanation because if you compare panels 7 and 8, Zimmy has just magically appeared. Something similar happened in comic 732 - Zimmy was right next to nice-Jack in panels 2 and 3, and then suddenly was gone when Gamma moved up to Jack and started talking in Panels 6-7-8. What do you think? Edit: Tried to make my point clearer.

jon the last panel's speech bubble is definitely Gamma-colored, and not Annie-colored.

It's interesting to see Zimmy looking out for Gamma rather than vice versa. It makes me think back to chapter 11, when their relationship seemed symbiotic rather than parasitic.

I think the colors of the speech bubbles for Zimmy and Gamma have changed. They look more similar. Obviously, this illusion is a lot more convoluted than what we've seen, what with Gamma's mistaking Annie for Zimmy. Maybe we're seeing things as they aren't?

jon the last panel's speech bubble is definitely Gamma-colored, and not Annie-colored. I suppose it is possible that it's Gamma talking at the end, not Zimmy. On my monitor, the colors of the speech bubbles are difficult to distinguish. Even so, I think that my point about Zimmy being a construct imagined by Annie is still valid. Gamma doesn't notice her at all, doesn't speak to her, doesn't react to her.

HEADS UP.
Look at Zimmy's face in panel 4. REAL close, on her cheek.
ANNIE'S CUT.

HEADS UP. Look at Zimmy's face in panel 4. REAL close, on her cheek. ANNIE'S CUT. Uh... which cheek? I think that's supposed to be her hair. She's always got a few strands of pointy hair. She's got two strands which cover her face a bit, on either side of her nose. Yes, the left one (from our perspective) has a little gap. I don't think that's conclusive. Also, Annie's cut is red, and I'm pretty sure it's on Annie's left cheek (the right one from our perspective).

I liked the way Annie starts to say "I have to help Jack" and quickly changes it to "We have to help Jack" (Panel 3)

Annie's cut is red in etheric places, and besides that could simply be a crease on her face due to her facial expression (mouth open wide, angry glare).
One thing I'd like to point out to everyone: Tom has added an extra Z to buzz to 734 and 735 in his comment. I forgot to add that both of those pages are AFTER they pass through the black gateway thing and draw near the spider's nest.

Heh, I can't answer that Max. My best guess is that the trap is for Zimmy given Jack's prior statements and motivations for all this, but it could easily be Annie or the whole lot as you say.

And you're right about the side, but it's in the exact same position. I can't explain why it's not red, either, except to hypothesize that since/if it's Zim hallucination, it's mimicking her skin tone. I still think Annie is Zim.

Annie isn't Zimmy or Gamma. She's acting like Kim Possible. ;D
(Seriously, for this page, Christy Carlson Romano should be Annie's voice actor)
And I don't know who Gamma is or if Gamma is real or not, but she's right about one thing: If I were her, I wouldn't be running into a spiderweb. And she instinctively knows it.

Good page, I like Annie's facial expression.
Also, if Tom poors any more confusion on us, this whole board is going to explode in one big conflagration.

Annie is acting like Zimmy. Zimmy is acting like Annie. And Gamma is acting like...not gamma. Because she should think that she would be able to GOP this "illusionary" spiders nest.

It's "the spider's nest" - not spiders' nest. Implying one single Spider boss creature. And I'm guessing The Spider is as real as anything can be in this world, not mere memories or illusions like the Nobodies.

well.... Annie is sort of acting like Zimmy, but she sort of isn't. She's acting like Zimmy in the sense that she apparently left her politeness behind several pages ago. However, she's NOT acting like Zimmy in the sense that Zimmy has never seemed to care about anybody other than Zimmy and quite possibly Gamma. Switch the characters around and try to imagine Zimmy yelling "We have to save Jack!" and charging off heroically into the unknown. This doesn't sound like the same Zimmy who told Jack "sucks to be you" at the end of Power Station.

Mmmmhhh... I'm starting to wonder if their personality traits were all mixed up together or something. Like: fracturing of their "selves" and mingling with others'? But that wouldn't make much sense, would it?

I wonder - if the Jack is a memory, and the Zimmy and Gamma are memories as well, could this be how Zimmy was originally infected? If Gamma didn't go into the nest, could that be why she isn't all black-eyed? Of course, that doesn't explain why Zimmy doesn't have spider webs on her, but it could be why Jack's eyes are becoming more and more Zimmy-like.

The mind is but a plaything of the body, though.
This would be relatively simple if people were acting normally.
