So I'm guessing this is the spider's nest. I'm guessing that what we're seeing, is actually what happened to Jack the first time he went. I'm guessing this is where he got "infected".

Naw, why should I listen to you, crazy me? What have you done for me recently?
Also, it seems Jack has some issues, if he so willingly listens to... himself?

Do we want courtesy rules for making the comic threads? Otherwise, someone could summarize the thread and then get upset when someone else makes a poor slapdash summary.
I'd say: Editing is allowed. The only rule is that you have to post first. That way, disputation is basically kept to a minimum...

wait... where did Gamma think they were in the first place? If she knew that 'normal Jack' was just a memory? And why is she freaking out about being in Zimmy's land of crazy? She seemed pretty chill the last time she went there.... This whole chapter has gone all fiddle faddle foo; up is down and crazy is normal... when will things start to make sense again? (or at least, more sense than this) I'm assuming we've still got at least 10 more pages of wtf to go...

Wait, is it just me, or did what Gamma say not sound like anyone? The tone seems wrong for all the girls, Zimmy wouldn't talk about herself in the third person, and after years it seems like Gamma would say "the place" or whatever instead of "Zimmy's illusions" and would really not be so surprised by it.
Huh, maybe Gamma really is a simulation. I maintain that the entire page of her monologue was real, though, even if Gamma isn't. Maybe Jack copied it from something that actually happened.

Jack will create an army of crazy evil goons and take over the court.
That's my official prophesy for the evening.

Gamma is never been in Zimmingham. Normally she stays in the real world (see 466 panel 3-4). Now she is really worried. I still do not understand how she can talk to Annie telepathically, but in Zimmingham Annie can, maybe.... P.S. Awesome chapter again Tom

Spiders are our friends! They kill common pests, like the etheric fruit fly and etheric Boxbot.

It will be just like "A Ghost Story": we'll all reel back from the mind-screwy imagery, and then there will be a single page where all the weirdness so far will crash together into a single, overwhelming mass of pure clarity.
Also: 1000th thread, woo.

Gamma is never been in Zimmingham. Normally she stays in the real world (see 466 panel 3-4). But two pages later, she is lying on the pile of toys, and in the page after that, she is interacting with the characters.

Zimmy seems much less vocal than usual. Anyone else notice that? Usually she's threatening and posturing and saying mysterious things. She's said only five words this entire encounter. And I don't think her facial expression has changed at all.

The real Birmingham, it seems. That's not conclusive. In the power station chapter she tried to GOP people in the real world too, which means nobodies can appear in the real world too. I think this explains why Gamma didn't transform herself and "Zimmy" out, several pages back. She's a memory too. She's a memory of Gamma as she was when she first entered Zimmingham, same way that we saw Jack's memory of how he was when he first entered Zimmingham. From her point of view it's the first time she sees Zimmingham. That also explains why her stream of text included wondering about who this Annie is. Gamma hadn't met Annie yet.

More confusion.
Idea: most people here are actually who they seem to be (except well, for the multiplicity of Jacks), but whereever they are screw with their perception of the environment (explaining why Annie doesn't have the scar, for instance).

More confusion. Idea: most people here are actually who they seem to be (except well, for the multiplicity of Jacks), but whereever they are screw with their perception of the environment (explaining why Annie doesn't have the scar, for instance). If Birmingjack and Zimmingham are indeed outside of reality and therefore somewhat interchangeable, beyond normal rules of time and space, then just maybe everyone might be real. Just the other day tBeholder said... It may be a point-of-view shift where Jack reenacts with his phantom whatever happened to him the first time. Of course, it can also be the same event, but so far Tom avoided anything half as cheap as the time-travel. And I told him... If this Birmingjack and the previous Zimmingham are magical mental creations outside of reality it could be that rules of chronological order simply aren't applicable and people within either can interact. Zimmy's circle-symbol carries ominous connotations of infinity and divinity; that would make both Jacks "real" (or the first real and Spider-jack a paradox). It would explain how Spider-Jack saw Antimony without past-Antimony having seen him. You guys can double-check my logic on this but I believe there's a fatal flaw in this theory. The Spider seems to grow over time and Jack accumulates more webs. That shouldn't be possible unless Antimony fails to save Jack in the future and even then it would result in an infinity paradox instead of a simple linear anomaly (if the spider grows the longer it is in reality then it couldn't be anything other than infinitely big, or alternatively if a new Spider-Jack is created each loop with a small spider then there would be an infinite number of him). My instinct tells me that if this is true there must be some way that Jack can be both not-rescued and then rescued to fulfill things. Otherwise, if Jack never gets out it'd be a little dark for this comic. It's too early in the morning for me to try to think about temporal mechanics so I'll just punt the rest of the Wild Speculation to the rest of the forum.

[734]Yeah, once Jack Con rolls into town every hotel is booked solid. I've got a worse one than that. In the last page, we saw a pair of Jacks. In this update, we have a Full House. And a Full House obviously beats a pair, so spider-Jack wins.

I still think it's a sim. Gamma should be able to just *know* when she's in Zimmingham, + no scar.
