After all, "I detect a hint of shut yer face!" did not prevent him from continuing in the repartee. Actually, the day of this strip someone posted a question to that effect in Formspring and Tom's reply was something along the lines of "Rey can tell the difference between a command and conversation." That's not a quote because I can't see anything past the latest questions on Formspring because I don't really want to open an account.

[...]I can't see anything past the latest questions on Formspring because I don't really want to open an account. The "more" button recently started working again after a long period of not working. Don't know if that was your issue or not but I thought it was worth noting.

Rey would probably be able to shrug it off as just a piece of conversation THE BOND IS NOT THAT WATERTIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE DDDD: If it was that watertight, I’m fairly sure more 'mature’ and rude insults would cause some very awkward results. *someone starts drawing a picture* ... Oh God, what have I done? EDIT: In order to make this post not completely useless, it’s important to note that according to Tom, Annie can dictate whether Rey can talk or not. She can’t actually dictate what he’s allowed to say.

In light of panel 1 of this page ("Why didn't you call out to us?" "Haha, I guess you didn't hear me, 'cos I did."), I went back and looked at #465 ("That's pretty sweet."). Suddenly I think the human silhouette in the window behind them (panels 3 and 4) is Jack. Especially with the spiders. And the trying-to-get-attention posture.
Retroactive nightmare fuel. D:

That would be awesome if it was, but I seem to remember Tom saying that it wasn't Jack. I also asked whether Jack was in any of the Zimmingham pages...I think he said something like "Don't waste your time looking" Still like the hand theory though
