I just thought that maybe there might be a benefit to Jack not connecting the big wolf with that stuffed toy Annie carried around. Not so much because it would lessen the deterrent effect, but because that would be too much information...or something?
I had kind of assumed that this was his first time going to the station, but I don't know now, given how much knowledge he seems to have about this.

What knowledge? That they’d have to get there by boat? If you look down and see water, it’s fairly obvious that you’d need a boat. He set up a rope to get down, which he easily could have done just now. Nothing suggests that he’d need to have done this before to have set this up.
The only question I have is, where did he get the boat from? It has the Court Symbol on it, so do they sell boats at the shop?

Jack has been up to all sorts of crazy shenanigans, probably. I bet he's already been to the power station.

I don't think Tom's comment to Reynardine should be taken so literally. It doesn't seem like he's saying " Reynardine, you mustn't be seen or all hope is lost!" as much as " Reynardine, you probably don't want this guy to see you holding on to a girls neck to avoid falling off." Given the tongue-in-cheek tone of the majority of Tom's comments, I think that you're right on this one.

I feel like it wouldn't be a big deal for Jack to realize her stuffed animal can also be a big wolf, as he takes unexplainable things in stride since his infection in Zimmyland. edit: re-worded some things

I'm reminded of The Phantom of the Opera here. Creepy guy trying to get girl into little boat to cross strange lake. There's even a white animal involved.

So do you guys think: A) That Jack has already been to the Power Station, and there's something there that he wants Annie to see, or B) That he hasn't been to the Power Station, and he wanted Annie to be along when he went for the first time. C) He cannot access the inner core of the station without having either Antimony or Reynardine along.

Or the scared look on Rey's face haha

Let's not also forget that stuffed-toy Rey is probably lighter than Wolf Rey. There's a practical consideration for his reverting to his smaller size there. He probably won't be destroyed or whatever if he fell, but he does care enough for Annie to not put her in any further harm's way given the situation.

I think A implies that Jack saw something interesting that he wants Annie to see and know about, but not necessarily do something with, while C implies that there is some form of boundary.

The point of my question was to ask if folks had thought that Jack had already tested the ladder, come down the rope, and made it across the lake in the boat. The parts after the comma aren't as important as the parts before the comma. If I had wanted a C option in my question, I would have made one.

I think B), he hasn't been there yet. I think that's fairly clear from when he says "I'm either going to find the answer with Zimmy, or the power station", implying that he hasn't found the answer yet, from either Zimmy or the power station.

Well at the very least he has been down the rope once before to place that boat there (I assume he placed it, though I guess it is possible that it was there already. I just find that rather unlikely).
He has also inflated the boat. Jack somehow doesn't strike me as one who'd do that before he needed to, so I think he probably has been out on the lake, maybe around the power station, but hasn't discovered anything important on his own.
Yeah - I'm aware this is mostly based on gut-feeling and guessing...

He probably jumped there the first time, but he realizes Annie can't do the same.

He probably jumped there the first time, but he realizes Annie can't do the same. Jack jumped down 130 feet? Are we still on that fanciful idea? I mean, I have no evidence that you're wrong, but you have no evidence that that's right.

Jack jumped down 130 feet? No, he jumped the lake to the island. Obviously if he jumped down from the wall he'd just bounce back up again.
