Remind me to use Annie's line on a friend of mine. Hilarious.

Hahaha, I find it funny that none of our guesses about the bonus page were right. There were some funny ones, though. I'm glad - GC is more fun when it isn't predictable. (and it rarely is) The fun part ( I think) about GKC being unpredictable is that Tom gets these comics done three months beforehand. So it's not like he's getting direct feedback and making changes, it's that he's really just that brilliant at writing the unexpected in the first place.

I see what Annie has learned from all this, is the fine art of screwing with people.

In addition to that, I find his art style clean yet detailed. It really brings things out a dramatic forefront when he decides to indulge. www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=595Hehe, Absinthe makes the heart go yonder.

b) Perhaps, since we started with Annie checking on Reynardine, the bonus page will end with some insight into what he's been up to without Annie there to watch/entertain him. Well, I wasn't exactly right, but I think I did at least call a 'return to Reynardine.' Oh! Well cookies for you, then.

Okay, quick poll. The first thing that came into your mind was...what? First thing was "Ut oh". Second was "Hehehehehehehe Reynardine". Third was "Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwhh!!".

Annie's ruse seems more directed towards the reader than towards Reynardine; why wouldn't he expect her to come back bleary and with some story of consuming too much gin and mince pies and getting five years of detention for some disproportionate revenge scheme? Hmm. IMO she didn't pretend having a headache or blurred memories on first panels, just dismissed it all in the last one. That is, i read "actually missed you" as "ah, dammit, but it's good to be back home at last!", not as "hey, it's strange, but...". P.S.: Tom? What tone is supposed to be used there?
