Just when I was wondering how these kids could get any more awesome.

I like how the adults are totally NOT like "Hmm there seems to be a ring of laser cows around our house, I wonder if there could be anything possibly suspicious about that."

At first, when I saw the cows making the grid, I thought Jack became a power-hungry madman and was now going to have a "mad scientist" speech while Annie and Kat will try to somehow stop him.

I don't think I could love this page any more. Annie's plan working flawlessly? Jack being good? Winsbury begrudgingly thanking the laser cows? VEGETA?
Yes, this is most favorable.

For a slightly creepy crazy guy, Jack is pretty awesome.

Yay Jack!
He's cool when he's not all face-scratchy. I hope he doesn't die.

Is it me or has Jack just trapped Annie in a place away from the safety of all the adults that are watching out for her?
I'm pessimistic is what I'm saying.

So a couple of quick questions:
1) They seem to have all four houses worth of students here. So where's Zimmy and Gamma?
2) We now have a bunch of 12-13 yos in a big house with a lot of rooms and beds, copious time on their hands, and no adult supervision. Sounds like a recipe for shenanigans, some more shenaniganny than others.

Jack: Winsbury! How long are the forum topics about my evil level?
Willie: They're over 9000!!!

I love the fact that Tom said it makes the Vegeta thing that much funnier.
Goggles on his head would make me think of Hwoarang, though. Or Steve Fox. Great. Now I'm imagining some sort of GKC vs. * Fighting game.

1) They seem to have all four houses worth of students here. So where's Zimmy and Gamma? Students FROM all four houses, but not all four houses of students. This trip was optional, as I recall, and theres no way those two would deliberately let themselves be dragged along and forced into close contact with swarms of other kids.

So a couple of quick questions: 1) They seem to have all four houses worth of students here. So where's Zimmy and Gamma? I think you may be misjudging the sizes. A single house seems to be around 60 students per year. 30 girls and 30 boys. If all four houses of that year were there , that'd be 240 students. It'd be very hard for Marcia to grab all those students one by one in a single week. I think it's only Queslett that's there, north and south classes.

I find myself wondering what, exactly, the point was in doing that. It seems rather odd escaping behaviour.

The kids can spent the rest of their residential in a warm house, locking out the adults who made them sleep in the cold tents. It's not escaping. It's revenge.

"This is you, and this is your badness level. It's unusually high for someone your size."
The only solution is teaching him to sing Elvis and surf.
Unless there's a remote off-switch for the laser cows in the ATV or somewhere.
And the house is surrounded by small trees and big shrubs. How big a tree does it have to be for Marcia to get through it?

You know kids, revenge sounds like a good idea now, but when you need that few extra points in gym class it'll be kind of hard to suck up to Eglamore.

All four houses, but only one year. Gamma and Zimmy are not in the same year as Annie&co, and besides, they don't have to follow the same rules. This is also why you won't see Parley or Smitty here, because they're older.
Also, I'd like to see some counter-trickery from the teachers now! Oh snap good sirs, you have been fooled! Payback time!
(also the over 9000 and the Stitch references totally made me crack up)

Only one house, only one year.
They are in the same year as Annie and the rest of them -- that's why Zimmy was in the same science competition as Kat, back in the first chapter we saw them in.
The reason they aren't there it's because they're in Chester, and we've only seen Queslett students in this residential. We don't know if other houses will do this at different times or if they have different activities lined up for them.
