When Zimmy cursed at the door back in 452, I assumed she was angry because she was eavesdropping and the door revealed her presence to the others. Now looking back, it seems rather unlikely that she knew of their presence before. So she really had difficulties with the door ("damn iiiiiit !") -- and surely it's not all that hard to open : assuming she's not half-blind, it shows again how unnerved and messed up she is (and not only because of other people's presence).

Hey, just noticed something. In the last panel, the lines between Zimmy and Gamma's heads are almost the same colour as the light coming off the experiment.
Not exactly the same, since the psychic lines have partial transparency, but very close.
Maybe whatever it is is like how Gamma pushes out the static, but the total opposite.

Reynardine is going to have to morph into Uber-MEga_Wolf form, whereby he gets to be as big as the wolf from Black and White 2. Then he and TIc-Toc Omega fight a huge duel which ends with TTO's shattered head breaking through the roof of the Great Hall... and the HEadmaster will just be sitting there, looking bored....... mmmm, epic.

I dunno, shouldn't we be using that energy for something like, curing cancer or something? No, no - finding new ways to (possibly) destroy humanity is far more interesting than that! Anyway, comic. Poor Gamma... there is a girl who needs some sleep. Did we ascertain what the lines mean? A visual representation of Gamma's control on Zimmy's mind? If she's all freaked out over this, Gamma must be working overtime.

The money spent on LHC is actually only 3 to 6 billion euro. That's nothing compared to e.g. the military spendings of some countries and only about twice as much as other large structures like skyscrapers and such cost.
If such research enables us to understand physics better and eventually use technologies like MRI that indeed helps to cure cancer, I think it's money well spend.

My take on all this is that because of the proximity to "that fing out there" the reality Zimmy and Gamma are in right now is much more distorted compared to when they are ambling about the halls of the school.
Based on their initial reactions to the other students on the roof, it seems like Z&G where not at all (or only minimally) aware of their presence. They were perhaps ignored along with the rest of whatever illusions may be slipping through Gamma's natural 'shield.'
Gamma was startled when she touched Matt, because perhaps he was only appearing as some kind of statue or inanimate pillar. I'd imagine the dialogue to go somewhat like this
Z: Bloomin door. God damn it. Damn iiiiiit. G: No one's up here it seems. Z: Just a bunch of statues or sumfin. Come on. G: (touching Matt, removing her hand in shock) Ah! No, they're people! Students! Z: They're what!? (commence threats)
protip: italics indicate the unspoken thoughts they share, obviously
Another point of interest is that Zimmy doesn't seem to pay very close attention to day/night cycles. You notice this because she seems to only take stock of that in a very binary way by observing whether there are students like Antimony around.
Curious.

I figure that Gamma has all the while been able to dispel illusions with her mere presence. Now it must require her to physically touch them. She looks tired. Looks more like a Shibuya girl at this point.

Sigh... a lot of experiments carry such a treat... for example, there were scientist that said that the test of the first nuclear bomb could ignite the air, killing everyone in the world... and didn't happen. The LHC is a critical piece to understand the beginning of the universe, and perhaps a lot of good applications will come from it, in 10 or 20 years. I don't think the earth is going to be destroyed... cause it looks wayyy to easy... the main issue is that people are afraid that black holes might be created from it... BUT, a tiny black hole of a couple miligrams of weight and an existence of less than a second is not going kill anyone... but of course, I've been wrong before Gamma looks like she's going to fall asleep any minute now.

Zimmy usually determines time through visual cues, such as the sky, or amount of people who are around. Tom posted this in the questions thread, but I thought it was relevant enough to the discussion of this strip--and for anyone who doesn't normally read that thread. Cool beans =D

For some reason, Annie reminds me a lot of Ms. Jones in frame 2. I think it's her neutral expression and subdued body language? Perhaps it's the mark of a successful medium...
