She prefers "the devil you know," I suppose. Gonna be a shock when she learns it's a whole new animal in charge then.

Yeah. For some reason I keep visualizing the frozen-in-time residents of 79AD Pompeii being popped out of the pyroclastic flow tephra alive and healthy, and they all start bitching about how beautiful and fertile the land in the shadow of Vesuvius was and how everything was perfect until someone offended Vulcan or other gods, ruining all their lives and livelihoods and all the time they'd spent living virtuously so the gods would cherish them or at least leave them in peace. [edit] Also: Did you? Did you really know "where you was" with Coyote, Khepi? [/edit]

She is right in a sense, as just as wacky as Coyote was, there was still some sense of logic and restraint behind his actions (most of the time, that is), while Loup is more impulsive, volatile and, in a word, unstable. Still, they must not gorget that Coyote is an outside god/creature and not originally from this forest, so relying in him and his mood swings for things such as having a better harvest, hoping that he was "happy" when the need arose, well...
Merry Christmas and happy holidays, fellow Gunners and forest inhabitants alike! I hope you are spending this special day with family and friends and having a nice, wonderful and relaxing time. Greetings from Mexico!

It didn't sink in at first but the forest dudes in the middle-left "panel" of the page are splitting tree trunks and braiding them, presumably as a representation of how they construct buildings. All I saw was "1, 2, 3" at first. I hope you are spending this special day with family and friends and having a nice, wonderful and relaxing time. Greetings from Mexico! I'm out of booze, all the stores are closed, and the holiday week is barely half over. But all the presents are finally wrapped as of 4:37am and I still have plenty of pipe tobacco. Hope you're doing at least that well.

Coyote, the friendly landlord that occasionally turns people inside out Only occasionally, mind you. Might be an improvement over a previous landlord. (The Court?)

The only thing you could be sure where you was with Coyote, was that he would not break his toys (read: everyone else)... unless he wanted to.

I'm out of booze, all the stores are closed, and the holiday week is barely half over. Sweet Mercy, I hope rectified that. What will the Anwyn refugees do for achewater, now that they can't access the Forest? It would be surprising but fitting, if Coyote was their distiller. Now I'm wondering, what kind of label would he use?
