What kind of jerk just takes a swim in someone's hair?

The trickster, forest type, of course.

More trivia: Another name for the party line (that I mentioned before with regard to the Antimonies/Renard link) is a local loop.

That remark about personality trait dominance makes me wonder if the last resort in dealing with Loup is for Renard to convince Loup to eat him, and adopt Renard's perspective in some way.
That would be incredibly traumatizing for Annie but it might also transfer the familiar contract, making Loup/Renard a familiar under Annie's control...

Annies' hair is *definitely* going to need a wash after this.
Another thought, does the link to Renard mean a link into the Court? Read on...

Court Annie doesn't seem to mind the intrusion though. In fact, does she even realise what's happening?

More Coyote than Ysengrin....does Coyote dominate higher functions, where Ysengrin resides in lower functions? I can see Ysengrin being able to dominate the gestalt when baser emotions are involved - like want, impatience...or anger.
Coyote's ego and Ysengrin's id, perhaps?

Court Annie doesn't seem to mind the intrusion though. In fact, does she even realise what's happening? I guess she does not, or at least not immediately (and the page is crowded enough as it is). Loup only needs one entry point into the party line, so he also needs to violate only one Annie's personal space.

We'll see if Annies and/or Renard will be able to talk to each other with Loup in the loop.

I actually laughed out loud at the doggy swim I wonder if Loup has merely intruded into the party line, or intercepted it. We'll see if Annies and/or Renard will be able to talk to each other with Loup in the loop. They won't. Loup will interfere. Not in an etheric way, just by being extremely annoying

I would not trust Loup enough, to join his commune in the woods. That just seems like a bad life choice.
Maybe soon, we'll get to hear Renard's opinion of Ysengrin, direct from his own mouth.

I just love how much renard is annoyed in the last shot. Worst of all? He cant shut Loup out.
The annies probably can, but they are too surprised by the whole Fire-Hair-Diving incident.

Old movies falsely warn of getting bats tangled in your hair when out in the forest at night.
The real risk is Loups.

It's interesting that loup could just jump into their connection. It isn't the ether, but something else.

Yeah, nothing can possibly go wrong with a playful, powerful trickster god interfering with your familiar link.

I claim two cookies. I could be wrong, but he looks fairly freaked out about her being linked to Rey. I think he looks excited. His posture is called a "play-bow" in dogs, and usually precedes some high-energy romping.

Now is perhaps a good moment to admit that I imagine Coyote's voice as like HIM from the Powerpuff Girls, voiced by Tom Kane. Androgynous, a little silly, a little scary, a bit off his rocker. Loup I imagine with much the same voice, but perhaps a more gravelly or excitable doglike element.

Loup I imagine with much the same voice, but perhaps a more gravelly or excitable doglike element. Interesting. I imagined it like HIM as well, but voiced by the brazilian voice actor I heard as a kid. There shouldn't be much of a difference. PS: in fact there was one specific submission to an audition on the deceased fan-voice-acting-audio-reading-thingy that I found particularly amusing and really wish it had been done. There was one such actor for Ysengrin as well.
