Is that Serif robot in the last panel watching them? Or is it part of the shield like the others? Can't see its eyes but it seems to be facing outwards.

Holy shit it is, that's a good catch, even the head is on the right angle. Damn, his place in the shield was really close to the Forest.

Well, well, well. Setting off in high spirits, are we now? Let's see if it lasts...

A very close match but the neck joint is different. It's smooth, straight and connects to the bottom while Arthur's is segmented, curved, and connects to the... other bottom? The first to the biggest and the second to the smallest rectangle in their paralelepipedal head. Plus this not-Arthur robot has an extra casing between the neck and the head, probably to protect their "pitch" joint (the up-and-down looking joint, is that the name you'd call it?) which Arthur didn't have because of his segmented, differently designed neck

I'm guessing the travel montage was to prevent a simple(yet jarring) jump in the narrative, but all the silence on the way to see Loup, gives me a case of the jibblies. I think Loup just inspires the heebie-jeebies, but the silence just accentuates it all.

What I was actually asking myself was... are the Annies different enough to find things to talk about?

We don't actually see how the head and the neck are connected. The head may be obscuring most of the neck, leaving only one segment visible. Or it could have been an unimportant detail, just like the security faces in the previous panel. Shall we split the difference and call this robot a Potential Arthur?

What I was actually asking myself was... are the Annies different enough to find things to talk about? Ahahaha, I was thinking the same thing! Six months is actually a pretty significant difference, though, and they've had plenty of different experiences since then too. Speaking personally, I think I'd have lots to say to myself from six months ago, and they'd probably have plenty of things to tell me as well. It'd actually be a pretty fun conversation, since we'd agree on so many things that not many other people would, which I imagine is why both Annies look so cheerful while talking on the train.

What I was actually asking myself was... are the Annies different enough to find things to talk about? I don't know what you mean, I talk to myself all the time! I do as well, but not in a way that would resemble a lighthearted conversation like depicted in this comic.
By the way, I think I would positively resent the fact being able to speak to a younger version of me who has jumped forward in time, and thus has no possibility to not repeat certain mistakes.
