Kat won't knowingly send an Antimony into danger. By the way, there's no forum pecking order regarding who makes the thread except first come first served, late entries get deleted by whoever created them.

I don't know if you meant it that way but I'm choosing to interpret that first sentence as a laws of robotics reference.

For new forum members: We do have informal guidelines about the form of the thread, I suppose, but they're not set in stone and if you forget something you can edit or delete the post later so go ahead and make a thread if you want to discuss the comic and nobody else is doing it. I'd summarize the guidelines as follows: Please lead the title with the comic number so that it's searchable (when proboards permits). Someone long ago decided the number should be in brackets. Not sure why. I think we've been doing it so the threads all look nice and neat together on the board. After the number please add a title-like phrase in the subject line, preferentially a key line of dialogue but if there is none then use the author's comment (today it's "drip") or failing that, something brief and descriptive of what's going on in the comic. Last, add a permanent link. You can get one by hitting the back button from the current comic and then the forward button. Bonus points for being witty with the title and/or text and checking to see if the link works after posting; I've had my links truncated or just replaced with links to the thread or the post in the thread because... because proboards, that's why. And older forum-goers let me know if this post is confusing or I've forgotten something. Proboards has been screwing up links when posting for some people recently. They've been making hash of my links for years. They've just been worse lately. And the search engine's dodgy. [edit] Oh, were you guys subtly hinting that proboards ate my link again? Just now remembered to test it. Now fixed.[/edit] In the distant past I believe I've seen an earlier thread defer to one who got the link correct. True that but I've seen the reverse also happen.

Both Annies better start their handfire!

The Annies both seem to assume that "My love" was directed at the one from the Forest, but that's the only message he gave, and he quite specifically said it was meant for both of them ("to find the two of you alone together"). Of course the use of "you" doesn't help. Does Coyote expect them both to come back? And "several days"? I read it as happening on the first night after her return, but either that's wrong or: - Loup is just impatient and actually sent the message right after she left
- He's confused by the weird wonky time of the Forest (or pretends to be)
- Even he couldn't predict that Annies' friends would be so quick to do exactly what he needed, so although he sent the message right away (very certain that she would take days to do anything) he thought it would be delivered much later.
If several days have passed, the Annies would have had more time for bickering, which would be a clue as to why their friend wanted to fix their relationship. But if several days have passed and their friends have had time to notice, why the goose did Sylvie clearly just see Paz, Parley and Smitten for the first time since her return?

Ah I see, his plan is to explain nothing and just pester her. Wonderful, he's become the middle manager of gods.

Again, Loup, you're at least partly responsible for the delay - that "two Annies" business you caused has all but distracted everyone from your demand.
And this is a minor matter, but - it really ought to be "led" rather than "lead".

Seeing as the creature seems to be "dripping" upwards, I'd assume it's more likely liquid-based. Now, the problem will be that there is just a second fire spirit nearby. What if they influence eachother's fire and it goes out of control?

Maybe there was a time skip that wasn't explicit. For instance, maybe F!Annie spent a few days with Tony that we didn't see. The "kidnapping" raid by her friends might not have been on the first night she stayed at her dad's house.
Alternatively, she may have been held in detention for a couple days before Tony and C!Annie showed up.

Did that drop just fall upwards? What the frag is going on?
Also, "several days"? It did not seem that way. Or did Tony and Frannie spend several days cooking stuff in the kitchen?

I too am surprised by the "several days" comment.
But that might well explain how the Scooby Gang all knows that the Annies haven't been getting along. They may not have intervened if they'd sorted themselves out in a day or two. So maybe 4 or 5 days have passed?

Seeing as the creature seems to be "dripping" upwards What if it is actually dripping downwards and it's the Annies who are upside-down??? We don't know anything about this bunker place. It could be Super Mario Galaxy all up in that biz.

Creepy, but not as uncivil and threatening, as you'd guess he'd be. We may see back-to-back "flame on", next. It'll be interesting to compare and contrast their use of their flames. Courtnie may be different from the few months more practice with her powers, but she may also be different in her style of use. I always got a smoke vibe from Surma, especially in the ether.

I was caught by the "several days" comment too. I would guess it's been several days Annie's time since Loup is aware that time passes outside the Forest.
I'm sure Pft!Annie will in no way use the "my love" comment against Forest!Annie, nope, no sir.
If the creature is coming to attack the Annies it would be funny as hell if George bips back in and finds them tired but okay and the place covered in scorch marks.

Loup does not seem to know how much time exactly has passed outside. Maybe he was just guessing that it had been several days already. Or that it would take the seed several days to find Annie(s) alone together. How much time has passed for him? Did he just return to the Forest, wait for five minutes and then snarl angrily: "She hasn't come back for days now!"?

They should get their flame on and boil the water. Some sauna time is a great bonding exercise!

I can only assume the "several days" means the interrogation was actually a montage. Or the happy fun times with dad where - They cooked stuff and whatnot - and we do not know how long courtney stayed at Kats place, this was all in the last chapter. Might easily be several days all in all.

Prediction: Forest Annie will immediately try to talk to the big scary monster first, while Court Annie will immediately try to kill it with fire, which makes it so that neither is effective at all, and they end up angrily bickering about their new differences in personality while running away from the creature.
Also: This was brilliant and hilarious and I never could have seen it coming for the life of me. Well played, sir.

What if they influence eachother's fire and it goes out of control? This seems rather suspicious - like Loup set this up and knew that a creature, and what kind of creature, would come with the plant. A water based creature might be more impervious to the Annies' fire-weapons, so this could be a real challenge for them. Is this a rather crafty prod by Loup to get them to work together, and also make clear that they'd better focus and also work together to get his gifts back, or there would be more "tests" of their abilities and cooperation like this...?
