Chapter titles are rarely this dramatic. The last time a title was this dramatic, it was Annie's quest to save Renard, which lasted all of one page. So I wonder if this is just another fake out from Tom. Also because nothing in Gunnerkrigg is ever as simple as directly and cleanly addressing a topic within a single chapter. Not unless we, the readers, have had to endure 2+ years of questions and agony.

I'm eager to see how this all plays out.
Mostly curious if Renard and Kat continue to awkwardly dance around Forest!Annie, and whether or not Tony is as open with Court!Annie as he is with our forest girl.
Also looks like that icon could be a droplet of some sort, looks like it's coming off a plant?

Chapter icon is helpful as ever. Antigravity. Wonderful.
Curious to see who will be dealing with who. CAnnie with FAnnie? FAnnie with CAnnie? Kat with both? Anthony with (memories of) Surma? Or will this be a chapter for Jimmy Jims?

Somethingawful has decided "HER" is a stealth acronym for some shady Court department.
"Human Experimentation and Research" would fit perfectly.....

Helping Everyone Relax is personally my guess.
Very court-like.

So this is the start of Chapter 70? When I first started reading, the page that greeted me when I opened up this site was this one from the ery beginning of Chapter 36. With 70 chapters in the comic, that means I have now been a weekly reader for literally half of the comic's chapters (though the actual page count doubled way back in Chapter 66).

Chapter icon is helpful as ever. Thanks for drawing attention to that. Now I'm quite curious to see the full image it comes from.

It's Antimony's alchemical "antimony" necklace... some of the "dealing with" will undoubtedly be a struggle about who gets to possess unique items like this, or how they share them.

While the trouble between the two Annies is clearly going to be a major part of the comic hereafter, I wonder whether the Loup problem should be resolved first. As long as Loup and his forces are openly threatening the Court, the rivalry over possessions and relationships is going to seem trivial. If he reduces the place to rubble, it's not going to matter which Annie gets the favorite jumper or gets to hang out most often with Kat. (Unless the element of "she's probably one of Loup's minions in disguise" element continues to arise - and I think it's clear by now that Tom's not taking that route.)
Though it might make an appealing scene, having someone like Kat or Reynardine point out, after seeing the quarrel between the two, how petty they're being when right now the entire Court's living in fear of Loup and his army and they're squabbling over such comparatively minor things.

This will be a two page chapter where in the first they're arguing over superfluous stuff and Kat gets mad at them and in the second they get into a fire fist fight in which they suddenly merge into one another uppon physical contact while Tony is bringing them tea, resulting in porcelain shatering and "oh"s from both father and daughter PS: place your bets on who punches who

Im going with "Humongous Ether-powered Robot", the Court's New super-weapon to battle Loup! How else are they going to fight the KaiLoup? I imagine the HER requires James and Parley to pilot it. After Parley sprains her ankle, Tony must step up, and "JimmyJims" and "T-dog" must set aside their differences, to learn to drift together.

Of course it'll be steam powered so Annie will have to be at its core heating it and of course it'll be later used to pilot a moon sized Dai-HER which will be used to pilot an etheric Milky Way sized Tengen Toppa HER to fight Loup's final form

I just realized that we're at the beginning of a new volume. And that we've had a volume in the past that started with the introduction of a new major character, i.e. Tony in volume 6. This could be a similar situation.

No, dealing with HER indicates that this chapter will be on point of view of CourtAnnie, that is dealing with HEEERR, the Thing that from the Forest She came

This seems like a pretty fitting start to an arc then, about Annie learning to come to terms with herself (literally and figuratively). Also would make sense that both Annie's are here to stay for a while then, unless Tom is about to take a hard left turn with the story...

No speculation that HER is the final evolution of RobotGoddessKat? She finally ascends to godhood and the squabbling clones have to band together to contain their former friend gone rampant.
