Annie has her short hair back on this page. Tea must have interviewed her before the events of the latest chapter. Or maybe "Neither" was all just Annie's dream or something?

The song is not half bad, actually.

and thanks to Youtube's recommendations I am now going through an 80's revival (Siouxie, the Smiths, Duran Duran, Talking Heads, Talk Talk.... )
it's a good Monday.

Raises a thought...what time period does Gunnerkrigg Court take place in? I was thinking early 2000s...cos I know most kids these days are very averse to music from the 80s haha!

Damn, now I feel like I need to provide musical suggestions for a fictional character. Siouxsie And The Banshees would definitely be at the top of the list. I'm gonna be honest I think I've been more into these pages than I have the actual comic recently.
A little non-plot-relevant non-serious character exploration goes a long way.

I love the dented-up musical notes to show Annie can't sing XD
'Tis a silly song.

What I am learning is that Kat is the hippest character in the comic.

Agreed, although I think the comic's recent direction is intriguing. Loup is not proving to be a push over, and neither is Annie. I think part of the charm in the current hiatus comes from Tea being given a bit of extended page space.

I've really enjoyed their presence in the last few comics. I missed Tea.

Honestly, my favorite part of this is the fact that Annie found the song in someone else's music collection and has no idea what it's called or who made it. This is pretty much exactly how I find most of the songs I like, so I feel like I've found a kindred spirit.

I don't think its quite that strong, there's another Tom quote somewhere (can't find source) that it's more a generic "English" accent with Surma's Yorkshire overtones. Sorta in the same way Kat's is the light Scottish one she got from her father despite not living in Scotland.

The comic has been very intense and plot heavy recently, it's nice to have a break where we can laugh a bit with the characters too sometimes!
