Look at it in the ether, LOOK AT IT IN THE ETHER! Not like your mother and the whole mating slugs thing, just look at the damn thing in the ether when it conjures up stuff! I want to know how that works

So, Kat must've already had this computer up and running in these three pages: 1, 2, 3

A wire cutter? I wonder if that wire cutter will reappear at some critical time during the robot uprising...

So, Kat must've already had this computer up and running in these three pages: 1, 2, 3If the computer were already able to do that, why would she show the others the object appear on this platform, which is connected to the computer, instead of in her hands? Also, the process of making the wire cutters appear takes at least three panels, one spent with typing at the keyboard. So...no, I don't think so.

Huh, guess my wild speculation about her making things appear wasn't so wild. B-)

Welp, that's a thing. I have so many questions. I think the computer just moved the cutter from a storage area, rather than moving bits of metal and rubber to create the cutter. If it had created the cutter, I imagine Tom would have drawn the cutter differently, with tiny polygon shapes on the its surface. If the computer can create things (Etherically 3D print) that quickly though, that opens the door to many many things... Maybe, we'll get further information on this wonder, next week.

Oh. Huh. Here's my train of thought when I first saw this page: "But I thought that teleportation thing only worked because Anja incorporated magic into her computer!" "Well, I guess actually she said it was mostly technology, with just enough magic to make it work, so Kat must have just found a way to make it work without magic." "Wait, or did she? I mean, Kat's tech isn't entirely separate from the ether now, ever since that Jeanne caper...uh oh."
And now I'm just stuck worrying about where the hell the line between normal technology and etheric technology even is in Kat's world. Great.

I'm pretty positive that Kat's godhood makes it possible for her to actually do some etherbending at will while seeing it all as pretty logical and grounded by human science standards. It most likely bypasses Anja's need for research and use of "magic".

For nearly the first time in years, I am once again invested in a Gunnerkrigg storyline. I'm so happy to be back!! "...Oh, and one athletic guy, name's Merlin, accidentally stumbled on this room yesterday, he had a good look and asked - why not have a separate massive address space for I/O ports? Like ol' good Z-80, haha!"

anyone else noticed that these are the same pliers featured on the title page of chapter 25? might just be a coincidence, but that's the chapter that deals with the arrow in the machine. I thought it was interesting enough to log back into these forums, anyhow EDIT: on further examination, unless they aren't? those actually might be wire cutters, uh.

The needle nose pliers and angle wire cutter both appear to be from the same toolset. The wire stripper appears different, although those may be the cutter and pliers on the peg board behind Kat.
