Mine is Gunnerkrigg Court, I hail it as a masterpiece, the best of all time, but maybe that's just me. So I thought I could get other opinions from people who have read GKC.

This is sort of close to the "What other webcomics do you read?" thread, but regardless:
Under normal circumstances, I'd answer GKC with no hesitation. But the depressing chapters recently have changed that a little. It's still the best-executed of the webcomic I follow, by far, but I'm leaning towards Girl Genius as the webcomic I enjoy most at the moment.
It also doesn't hurt that GKC has a strict schedule, which is nearly unique among webcomics.

Yeah, I know that there's a thread like that, but similar is not the same.
Girl Genius used to be one of my favourites too, but I've since lost where I was and am rereading it in it's entirety.

Nothing makes me laugh as much as Paranatural. I really enjoy the consistency and world building of GKC, but the highs of Paranatural are unparalleled for me.
Really those two are the only ones I consistently read.

Well, GKC off course but also Dreamkeepers and lackadaisy, both amazing in story and art.

The best comic (in general) I've ever read is Gunnerkrigg Court. Second might be Watchmen or maybe Naoki Urasawa's Monster. GC is definitely the best Webcomic I've read. As far as favorite? Hmm. Either GC or El Goonish Shive. Freefall's up there as well... I'll say El Goonish Shive at the moment. Well, GKC off course but also Dreamkeepers and lackadaisy, both amazing in story and art. Ooh, has Lackadaisy ever picked up in production schedule? I was following it for a while, but one page a month was too frustratingly slow for me.

This is the only comic that I'm passionate enough to get into the forums for, and I own the books. But Sister Claire, Lackadaisy, Unsounded, Paranatural, Octopus Pie, Avas Demon, The Last Halloween, Love Me Nice, and Family Man are all top-tier in my book. And before Girls With Slingshots and TJ/Amal ended, those was on there (have those books, too). The Meek/Mare Interum (both Der-Shing) will probably be on my top list, too, once more of their stories exist. TBH it is hard to pick a favorite because there are so many incredibly talented people creating webcomics now-a-days. I read over a hundred comics. It was easier when I (and many of us, I'm sure) first got into webcomics years back, when there were fewer to chose from. It's almost unfair to compare them to each other on such a simplified stage.

Ooh, has Lackadaisy ever picked up in production schedule? I was following it for a while, but one page a month was too frustratingly slow for me. It has, so hurrah for that. My absolute favorite webcomic, it would be difficult to say. Subnormality is definitely up there in the running. Questionable Content as well. Does Homestuck count as a webcomic..? Girl Genius... Atomic Robo. Skin Deep. Dresden Codak. The Abominable Charles Christopher. Dumbing of Age. Something Positive. GKC, of course. I am uniquely terrible at picking favorite things in this case. In the proverbial gun-to-head scenario, I'd have to go with Subnormality, though.

The Abominable Charles Christopher. Has there been any change in his hiatus/a message from him? He said "back soon" in January on his Facebook. I know he's working and CC is a passion project, but I miss it lots, and wonder why he hasn't put a blurb on his site (not that he owes us anything, let me be clear).

My two favorites at the moment are Paranatural and Grrl Power. Both of which I think do an excellent job of subverting typical genre expectations and were an absolutely side-splitting read the first time I stumbled across them and did an archive-binge.
Shotgun Shuffle gets an honorable mention; it's fun but far more slice-of-life slightly less outlandish.

I... honestly didn't know he was on hiatus. I was reading CC steadily for a while, but now it's one I'm catching up on in spurts. Speaking of comics that are on hiatus and which I wish would start up again, I need to add a couple to my list: Kukuburi and Corporate Skull. LOVE CS. Anyone who devotes an entire 9 panel page to calling a character a "massive bell end" gets my vote!

Even just month ago I would've said Gunnerkrigg. But very recently I discovered "The Last Halloween" and oh my god it's amazing. I haven't really seen a webcomic like it before, where the entire story is taking place over the course of a single night. I normally expect that kind of thing in shortform writing/comics, not big serialized stuff. And the art is beautiful Although honestly, when it comes to art specifically, there are SO many webcomics I would call my favorite if they'd just stick to a damn schedule.. Does Homestuck count as a webcomic..? I think Homestuck counts as a lifestyle choice ;P

Gunnerkrigg Court is my favorite storywise, by far. Artwise though, it’s Ava’s Demon. It’s simply gorgeous.
I just listed all the webcomics I read in the other webcomic-related thread, in case you’re interested.

As much as I'd love to say GKC, especially being from living in the same area a lot of it takes inspiration from I'm going to be forced to answer Darths and Droids, and if Web Serials could be counted, Statless and Tactless. [Just a shame it hasn't updated in, like, a YEAR]

That's the trouble with webcomics - you can't make a living off most of them, so real life cuts into the schedule. Speaking of which: The Meek started updating regularly again a few weeks ago.

GKC by an immense margin. If I would have to choose between all other web comics together and GKC, the side I refuse vanishing from existence for all eternity, I would choose GKC without blinking an eye.

Tied between GKC and Widdershins. And before I found GKC I never thought anything'd beat Widdershins. GKC: I'm into astrology and alchemy, so I love trying to decipher the tangle of symbols and mythology and see if it gives any clues to what's happening (it doesn't, it just starts extra free bonus hares running in my head, so result). Widdershins: laffs! sometimes you just need a bit of light-hearted fun with honest-to-goodness wizards who are called wizards. Both: people with weird magical conditions trying to get along and get by in a world that keeps hurling further magical weirdness at them and also arrears of rent (Widdershins)/homework (GKC).

1. Gunnerkrigg Court and Sandra and Woo. (Both are very good at Storytelling, with Gunnerkrigg handling a complex fantasy narrative and Sandra and Woo handling a more straight forward but still enjoyable story.) 2. Final Fantasy VII the Sevening (It makes me laugh as an FFVII fan) 3. Dangerously Chloe ( A guilty pleasure I started reading in late high school and its interesting enough for the odd five minutes twice a week.) 4. Ow my Sanity! - (oh how I wish it would update....)
I'm not counting manga translations that are released online as it would break the post through sheer magnitude alone.

FYI: She's doing Ava's Demon full-time (she quit her job at Dreamworks), and says she has been working on the kickstarter book #2 full-time since it got funded months back. Granted, we've gotten one or two updates since the kickstarter... she seems to have really high standards for the books (and obviously the comic), and is probably going through each panel and fixing things. I can't wait to get those books.

If I could only keep reading one webcomic it would be GC, and has been pretty much ever since I found it.
MSPA/Homestuck is no doubt the most impressive webcomic context, with all its animations, games, side materials, music, fan art and so on. But its irregular schedule in recent years (with bursts of pages-long dialogue interspaced with months-long pauses) works against it.
The Order of the Stick is also impressive in scope and consistency, but it's been a good while since I could feel enthusiastic about it.
Dresden Codak could have been amazing if it had continued with glorious one-shots, but the current writing is nothing special and the plot seems to focus on unabashedly glorifying the main character and the author's philosophical outlook.
I'm giving Cucumber Quest the nod over Ava's Demon on account of update consistency (also not sure whether AD is becoming a revenge fic; I'm currently rooting for Strategos Six against Ava, and she's an unqualified villain! But I'm sure Michelle has stuff well in hand).
Paranatural is wondrous when it comes to humour and absurdism but is weaker in the Significant Character Moments and Serious Character Posturing departments.
Subnormality is... special.

Well, she is his transhumanist angel and replacing her flesh with machine is her sacrament and proof she is deserving of even greater power, glory, beauty, and plot armor. By the way, Daedalus started a private message discussion thread for DC if anyone wants in, though it is kind of quiet. If I manage to hit 95 unresponded-to topics for discussion I am going to the self-promotion thread and declaring myself this forum's transhumanist Martin Luther.

My favourite? The one favourite? Only one? The one and only comic published (primarily) in internet that I can say enjoy most? Thing that is my "favourite" the same way as "coffee with touch of chocolate is my favourite beverage in the morning" or "Earl Grey when it comes to tea"...
...probably xkcd.
I'm so sorry.
Then maybe Vattu. (And Rice Boy of those that have ended.)
GKC is about the most thing I've been a fan of, since high school. (Welp, how time flies.) The only thing lately, really. (At least until the next season of Doctor Who hits in.)

Except for the number one, this list changes several times a year. - Gunnerkrigg Court
- Go Get a Roomy
- Dumbing of Age
- Band vs Band
- Octopus Pie
I'm not counting manga translations that are released online as it would break the post through sheer magnitude alone. If you limit it to those free Asian webcomics that are translated on the same day they are published I'd add Their Story (Tamen Di Gushi) to the list. (And Rice Boy of those that have ended.) Best finished webcomics in no particular order: - Digger
- Nine Planets Without Intelligent Life
- A Miracle of Science
- Casey & Andy
- Rice Boy
And of course Nimona, Girly, Yu+Me, Darwin Carmichael and so on. Best unfinished webcomics : - Afterlife Blues
- The Abominable Charles Christopher

Mnemesis by Sylvan Migdall is also a very good completed webcomic. Don't be fooled by the dates attached to the comments, this thing is from ages ago. Like, around 2002 I'm pretty sure. Now if only it'd go back to updating. That's the trouble with webcomics - you can't make a living off most of them, so real life cuts into the schedule. Okay, that makes sense. Rewards fulfillment is like 90% of what you get stuck doing after a successful Kickstarter. It can take up pretty much all your time.
