Inspired by Cave Johnson’s recordings in Portal 2, here are some messages from Gunnerkrigg Court characters to guide the readers. I'll start off with some I thought of from Kat. I am partial towards Kat because I am partial towards Kat, and I can easily see a bit of Cave Johnson in her personality. So here we go... _________________ CHAPTER 1 - The Shadow and The Robot
KAT: Hello, I am Kat Donlan. I can’t be here to introduce the comic, so I’m leaving you this message. The test, I mean the comic you are about to read is about things that happened while my friends and I attended school at Gunnerkrigg Court. So without further delay, relax, clear your mind, ignore the electrodes attached to your head, and enjoy the comic. You don’t feel any electrodes? Good! You are awesome!!

CHAPTER 6 - Handful of Dirt
KAT: Kat Donlan here. By now it should be clear that there is an uneasy mix of traditional science and etheric science at Gunnerkrigg Court. Annie has a predilection for the etheric sciences while I am definitely into the traditional sciences. Annie says the etheric sciences predate my science, so she claims the etheric sciences are actually more traditional. I don’t like to mince words, so I just say SCIENCE! Now get back to testing. Reading. I meant reading.

CHAPTER 49 - The Torn Sea
KAT: Kat Donlan here. I don’t know why I keep introducing myself. If you don’t know it’s me by now, then you’re probably skewing my test data. And you do not want to skew my test data.
KAT: I am kidding. You shouldn’t worry about scewing my test data. Worrying about skewing my test data might skew my test data.
KAT: I also tag all my test data with the test subject’s identification number. I can purge you whenever I want.
PAZ: Kat!
KAT: Wha? Oh, sorry! I meant purge your data from my test. Haha!

CHAPTER 52 - Sneak
KAT: Kat Donlan here. Some of you may now be wondering why I am not using my robot minions to overthrow the Court. Well the truth is, I didn’t know the Bots had become fanatical about me. Had I known, things would have been different. After all, who can resist using an army of killer robots?
KAT: If you have, or have had, an actual army of killer robots at your beck and call, then feel free to judge me. If not, then get back to reading.

I know it's Kat, but I still hear it in Cave Johsnon's voice. Dammit, now I need to play Portal 2 again.

I'm not getting much "Kat" out of these, with the exception of CH 6 or somewhat CH 52. Maybe Kat playing Cave Johnson, and pretending to be him, saying what she thought he'd say?

The Cave Johnson in her must be coming out! Actually your spot on, when I wrote these I was mostly thinking of the comic being one big experiment with Kat playing the role of Cave Johnson. Maybe others can write some more original messages. I'm still mentally stuck on Portal.

I'm still mentally stuck on Portal. Did you just finish Portal 2?

I'm still mentally stuck on Portal. Did you just finish Portal 2? Finished it a while back, but the potato in the latest page put me back in a Portal frame of mind.

CHAPTER 35 – Parley and Smitty Are In This One
KAT: It has come to my attention that some of you think I am derivative. That I am just a bunch of archetypes, memes, and tropes mashed together, with a mix of both obvious and obscure pop cultural references sprinkled on top to make me appear to be current. Well, are any of you original? If you can write a truly original story, and if you can get anyone to relate to it, then I will accept your criticism.
KAT: For everyone else, and I like to think that is most of you, here is a song by Orbital from Wonky. Enjoy!
