Damned it, I stood no chance, you had already created your thread when I opened the page. Anyway, this is pretty much what we suspected, right?
Coyote is such a caring person!

Incoming chapter end twist that Coyote actually isn't eating them and is totally forming an army of zombie bunnies.

I don't know; euphemisms are just another way to avoid the truth!

I also love the transition in the first panel, and I wonder if that's the totem glowing in Annie's hand in the last panel. I bet it is.

Incoming chapter end twist that Coyote actually isn't eating them and is totally forming an army of zombie bunnies. Zombie animals sounds more plausible, because, you know, other animals changed too.

In other news, I am quite displeased with my chronicler today. Hmph.
*glares at Tom through his computer screen*
You drew me all pudgy in panels 3 and 4, instead of my normal, lithe, smexy physique!! *sulking*

Why let good protein go to waste?
Unfortunately it is probably not as simple as "Coyote Food". But then again it might!

Wow. Not creepy at all. Who knows if Coyote still retains any control on the transitioned by virtue of owning their former bodies (a la voodoo doll).

Oh, he'll take care of it... that's great, nothing creepy going on here...
Ok, a stash of bodies for him to possess? I don't think he'd care about inconveniencing any of the forest inhabitants when taking their bodies for some time, plus he can shape shift, so why keep such a stash? nope
Zombiefied critters army? Meh.
Does the original body need to be preserved? From what we saw from the fairies not, but their process was different. That'd imply there's a clearing somewhere in the forest with dozens/hundreds/a big number of sleeping/comatose animals. Very cute, until you notice none of them wakes up... then it gets creepy
Does he just eat it? Possible, but too simple.
Different idea I just got: What if this was a way out for Annie? I mean out of her fire elemental "curse" of dying when having a child? Would that work or would the "flame" that gets passed on be transferred too? Would probably end her flame powers though. In completely baseless speculation, could that be Coyote's end game? Take Annie's powers (and by extension the court's fire elemental) out for whatever reason?
Edit: God dammit, she's still wearing that hat! I think I'm just keeping it now. Ain't that far 'til Christmas now anyway...

Maybe Coyote will make some piece of artwork from the body and send it to its former "owner" ?... Like it was some sort of talisman ? (Ok, far more creepy than just eat the body...)

That'd imply there's a clearing somewhere in the forest with dozens/hundreds/a big number of sleeping/comatose animals. Ah, the truth Coyote is trying to conceal... Coyote sleeps on a soft warm bed of cute fluffy animals. His version of the Zimmingham toy shop. He only eats the ones that aren't cute and fluffy.

Hmm. This is very similar to what happened to Renard's body when he possesses other creatures.
What would happen if Renard possessed one of the sleeping animals-turned-to-human bodies? Would the body still die if Renard left it? Would the spirit be forever stuck as a human? would the human body die too?
EDIT: Actually jave we ever seen a fairy/animal-turned-human as an adult? Do they become adults, or do they return to the forest, to their bodies?
I wonder... does Annie's stuffed toy count as a Totem for Renard?

Coyote, looking at his recent work: "This my design." I wonder, if Jackalope is experiencing anything ethericly? Perhaps, he's asleep in the Ether, as well. What's the etiquette for carrying someone's soul/totem? Do you just stick it in your pocket?

Will her body go to the same place where Reynardine's original body is kept?
