Jack's taking his action hero role a bit too dramatically, it seems. Well, who's to blame him. But Kat, on the other hand, she seems still so lost she doesn't realise the danger in which everybody is and has been.... but is it the creation experiment or Paz's lips that she's so lost in? Maybe she's still a bit confused after the kiss-attack, but my bet is that it is more that she has been so deeply into her occasion to experiment in creating an organism artificially.

It appears that they're back in the ballroom, which would mean that the ship is now inside the ship. Also, Zimmy will have to go outside for the rain to take effect.

If Antimony were a different sort of character now would be a good opportunity for her to "accidentally sprain her ankle." I wonder if the plot will include an actual sprain of ankle?

What if all the ether the siphons gathered went into making the whale, and the rain doesn't work?

No. I think Jack will have done his shoulder a mischief. And the plot would backfire, as it would have to be Jenny who carries Annie out the room.

What if all the ether the siphons gathered went into making the whale, and the rain doesn't work? (speculation) They go back to Zimmingham (but now the untamed version), or something really bad happens, and not to Zimmy alone. One day, Zimmy.

I think the fanbase might possibly survive that. But would Annie? Antimony is the main character so she is unlikely to be killed off; even if she is there is nobody to guide her into the ether so she will "survive" as a character in that sense for the remainder of the comic no matter what, I guess. Jenny is bewitching (heh) and has some things in common with Antimony, and in general the comic is an exploration of the secret lives of wonder that young girls have, re-imagined through a mythical lens. That sort of thing "just happens" in this comic, apparently, but since it's already just-happened I sort of doubt that it would just happen again... at least not right away. Antimony didn't seem to demonstrate any inclination to pair up with anyone when Paz asked her about not having anyone to go to the dance with. Of course, watching all the happy couples celebrating their victory over the Seraphs might give her a reason as this chapter comes to a close. I think the fanbase might possibly survive that. cue another 15 page thread on whether there were enough initial signs of anything... If you don't show your work you only get half credit. Yes, the r34 commission artists will soon be rich as potlords. Well, they would have been if the economy was doing better. cue another 15 page thread on whether there were enough initial signs of anything... Which you might as well skip as nobody is going to change his mind anyway. Changing minds was not really the main focus of the internet at any point unless you mean for the worse.

Any minute now, the aliens from Star Trek: The Voyage Home will show up. "Hey, we've been talking with some whales here and we were wondering... Damn, we've been catfished. Back to Zeta Reticuli! Quick!"
Does the ship AI now reside in the organic skull? I suppose that lurch could be Lindsey. If she's angry, I wonder if she's the explaining/talking type, or if she'll just bite off the Love Boat's new organic head.

Aw c'mon, no one's posted the song yet? You know (I know you don't), originally I was going to quote rather this song. I still don't know why I changed my mind. Maybe because the title would have been so close to the chosen thread title.

Antimony is the main character so she is unlikely to be killed off Unlikely, but not impossible; some stories have done that kind of thing before, killing off the initial main character to make way for successors. But at present, there are too many unresolved plot threads that need Annie (Jeanne, Anthony, etc.) for her to be written out yet.
