Those are Seraphs. Is this good or bad? Oh man you're right. The Robot Secret Police? Shoooooot, that can't EVER mean something good.

S13 speaking, a bunch of Seraphs, Kat and Ms. Worth It.

Dialogue color and shape confirms: it's Robot (used this page for the side-by-side). Robot and 14+ Seraphs. This is bad. This is very bad. EDIT: Demonstrated by eightyfour that many robots (most except for Sky-Watcher, making it funny that I chose that page for the comparison) use that same exact color/shape combination, including Boxbot. I still think it's likely to be Robot, because there are specifically Seraphs on the stage... But it is now rather uncertain.

Those are Seraphs. Is this good or bad? Also, "dramatically appropriate". Since when robots attained the sense for a proper, breathtakingly exciting narrative?! Next you tell me we'll find out they're now genre savvy, too.

There's the band! It's the Daft Punk, I think! Not bad.
Edit: On a more serious note, maybe this chapter is mostly about Kat, after all. The legion of robots there suggests that this may be a turning point in Kat's path to robot deity.

Since I started reading (back in Give and Take), this is the first time I dread what is to come.

I am genuinely unsettled by this page as well, zarathustra. It's reminding me of how much horror there is in GKC, how good Tom is at this sort of thing.
The way that I imagine Robot's delivery there... -shudder- This is not going to go well.

Well, that explains why the mike is there, maybe.
But that was unexpected. Is that really Robot speaking, or just one of the Seraphs?

Many robots have the same color/shape (including Boxbot!). Edit: In fact, the only robot I could find right away that uses differently styled bubbles is Sky Watcher!

Well that was unexpected...
Robot staging a coup? Or is this another "activity" organised by the staff similar to that in Chapter 24: Residential when they went camping?

There's the mike. Expect one to give a speech. Since drama figures into timing it isn't an emergency. I'll guess they want to complain about how the socialization is taking time away from the Angel's work but there could be a number of things they disapprove of or simply wish to make Kat aware of in a robotic-awkward way that they think she doesn't know... heh...

And this is why fact-checking is a good idea. x.x I just love that chapter so much, I defaulted to it (also because I knew it had a conversation between two different robots). ...I still think it's probably Robot, and am no less unsettled, but thank you for pointing out a very odd mistake.

I think I might have got something more appropriate for the occasion... Is this the end of the beginning? Or the beginning of the end?...regeneration of your cybersonic soul // Transforming time and space beyond control...Lo and behold, the Katacalypse has begun. or so I WANT TO BELIEVE.

This can go either way with Tom, Remember the "WE'RE HERE TO DESTROY YOU !!!" ? For me, at least, that was a little different. It was relatively startling (and an impressive bit of art), but it was also resolved on the same page, only a few panels afterwards. This is... ominous. Coyote removing Ysengrin's memories-style ominous. Diego staring at Jeanne from the shadows-style ominous. EDIT: "It was worth it"-style ominous.

Oh, more potential for disaster on this cruise ship, great. This school trip wasn't dangerous enough already. no idea what's gonna happen. Kat might have negelected the Path of Robot Ascension because of Paz and the robots want to set straight (pun maybe intended). They might want to convert the heathen meatbags to worshipping The Kat. The weather might be the result of Zimmy's instability or some shenanigans by Jack and they need to protect The Kat (and other students). Kat mentioned at the beginning of the cruise that she has never seen robots like those on that boat (link). They might have formed their own independent, heretical Kat cult in the mean time (they're uniquely networked, communication would be very fast.) We might have a Holy War on our hands. Or they might just be there to serenade The Kat. But then they wouldn't have to cancel the rest of the evening.

Everyone seems to be thinking that this is something ominous (and they're probably right), but my first thought was that this was another fake danger thing like in Residential. I'm guessing at least one student in-comic is gonna make that assumption (probably Winsbury).

That was actually only resolved on the following page. The page itself ended with Mort panicking. As far as this page goes, it could go literally to any direction imaginable.

Tonight is not my night for getting things right. Damn.
I'm going to sleep, and then I'll approach the page again in the morning to see if I still feel the same way.

Oh, more potential for disaster on this cruise ship, great. This school trip wasn't dangerous enough already. Yeah, the safe school trips are for kids! Oh, wait... So, anyway, are some dangerous elements are still missing? Where's Coyote and his shadow army? And maybe those who try to run away will meet Jeanne? Guess I have to content with sea sick Zimmy and the robot apokatlypse (mind the pun). So, Zimmy is sea sick. Do the seraphs know that slaughter is the best medicine?

Are we ignoring the fact that there's a girl with hair that goes up in that there panel? Looks like somebody's managed to get some holiday time after all.
Until now.

What if the robots are here for Zimmy, because they have heard she hates her (or dislikes, fears) an they don't like this. And jack knows this and that's why he is angry and saying it's not safe? Or robots go mayhem and Zimmy saves the day. Isn't that winsbury? you know, that guy(how do I add qoutes when I edit a post?)
