Well, she has something on her belt - we don't know whether it's a sword or not yet, and it's difficult to tell from the angle. GUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!

I'm wondering if the fairy's green horns are a visual pun. Well, she has something on her belt - we don't know whether it's a sword or not yet, and it's difficult to tell from the angle. It must be Eglamore. Obviously.

What I thought of Parley's armour was that the mantle on the shoulder pad is so tiny, maybe it is a display of seniority.

That shoulder pad ruins the entire armor for me. Parley'd look better in regular leather armor, but that's just me. If you want to armour anything at all, always start with your left (or right if you're left-handed) shoulder and go from there. That's what you put between yourself and the attacker before you strike. It's basically a shield that leaves your hands free, and a staple of almost any period of European suit of armour.

I think she doesn't like it long; she can move here arm more free with a smaller one Yeah, I see Eglamore's natural combat style as relying on being able to take blows fairly often, whereas Parley's (even before she got the ability to teleport) as being more about dodging. So Eglamore needs massive sturdy armor, and a long cloak will help soak blows and entangle the enemy. But Parley needs light flexible armor, and a long cloak would entangle *her*. Both are legitimate styles. In large formations (particularly shield walls) you want guys who can take hits and keep on going. In solo work, small groups, and on broken terrain, there's a lot to be said for the more mobile styles. In fact, I'm surprised that Eglamore's armor doesn't involve a lot more metal. It isn't as if the Court appears to suffer a shortage. Mr. Thorn wore substantially more than Eggy does. But Parley's looks like part of the armor she really ought to be wearing. (Only part. She's rather exposed above the shoulders, as well as her arms and everything below the waist.)

Eglamore is wearing chain mail if you look closely, so he is covered in metal as opposed to the leather armor Parley appears to be wearing.

Edit: In other news: bang! I'm back! In other news, welcome back! Can't say I noticed but I'm not very good about keeping track of people. I understand, I'm similar in that. Plus I haven't really been completely absent, if a bit inactive. I just had not for some while been able to take part in this thread game, let alone had a page thread to my name. So now that I after a while came to create a thread, after having checked that I got the thread I was on quite happy mood about it and felt like announcing that as my come back. The little joys of life. Thanks for welcoming me back anyway, fwip and Daedalus.

In fact, I'm surprised that Eglamore's armor doesn't involve a lot more metal. It isn't as if the Court appears to suffer a shortage. Mr. Thorn wore substantially more than Eggy does. It really is a trend! Past: Young Eggers: why can't I get those metal plates like Mr. Thorn, I would feel much more safe? Headmaster: Sorry, Jimmy, we're bit short on steel. Eggs: We are? *looking around at all the steel walls, robots, high tech crap* Guess we are then... Present: Parley: Ugh, is this all I'm going to get? Like, James wears metal, but I'm going to face the beasts in a brand new denim leather jacket? Nice... HM: No can do, Miss Parley, we're short on steel. Future: Parley's successor: So, uh... this uniform looks a bit different to that of Parley, or her predecessor... am I going to get some armor to wear over it? iron plates? No? HM: Sorry, but all we have left really is this leather bikini.
