What is this talk that I hear of Coney Island Babies
Edit: If someone could make a Photoshop of the frog guy saying "You know, man, when I was a young man in high school / You believe it or not, I wanted to play football for the coach", that would be truly, miraculously wonderful (to me)

I believe that's the Canvey Island Monster, but I don't get the "long way from home" statement. So, the tall tales will be about Annie. It will be fun to hear about her adventures, from another point of view. A "Randy Disaster"-dramatic point of view, I'm betting. Oh boy, how inspirational wikiarticle! If I ever run a Call of Cthulhu RPG campaign, I'm sure to include Cavey Island Monsters in it.

the image on the shirt of the fairy is also on the title page of this chapter so it's fair to assume she/he will be the focus of the chapter or at least the narration will be done through them as it were. In general Tom tends to follow serious, heavy themed chapters with lighter, more humorous ones. So i think this may be a lighter chapter to ease us though the passing of Mort. i like the idea of exaggerated stories about Annie told from the point of view of forest creatures. after all Annie got tipsy and set the sky on fire when she stayed there. that also should get the creatures talking about her. I hope we get more glimpses about Annie in the forest though this chapter. will the Anwyn be there? i guess we'll see

I vote that we replace the 'artist interpretation' on Wikipedia with Tom's art? Of course. It shall be done. Tom probably interpreted the same "artist interpretation", so replacing it with Tom's is right and just. Until someone draws fan-art of Tom's version, that is. The natural trend of postmodernpedia is to keep rolling as far from the originals as possible, so why not help it?

Tom draws rather better than I would expect of an armless fanged frog thing. Hey, that's racist. I'm sure Canvey Island Monsters have very dexterous feet with which to draw. I'm certain that it would be termed "armlessist", as it is about harmful stereotypes of those without arms. (A subclass of "limblessism") Edit: And yes, any form of a limblessism is terrible.

(Maybe ask for the authorization of Tom ?... It's his art, after all... :3)

That would have made for a very dark and uncomfortable chapter.

I'd like to meet the artist who did his impression of the "monster". It's like he took a rather placid, normal-looking bottom dweller fish and drew something that looked NOTHING LIKE IT.
