I tried to reset the directory, it doesn't seem to work. I've had zero pains with GIMP when messing with fonts..did you restart the program after installing them? Then again I haven't really used Windows for over a year, so I dunno what goes down with that. E: ah nvm, the other fonts..disappeared..? Yeah I don't know. Somehow I deleted ALL the fonts except A&W when I was mucking around in the program files. SO I copied them all from the dedicated fonts folder in the Windows folder, and pasted them into GIMP's font folders. I just got out of school and I'm not home yet, so I'll check to see if it worked when I get home.

"Paz! Nice Choice!" I agree on so many levels. Oh god, your avatar. Must I read this again?.. Hahaha, I am so glad you and others recognize my avatar Alpha. Yes, it is time for us all to re-read YKK. Honestly Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou was the last manga or comic that truly moved me and I despaired when it ended. Then I finally came across Gunnerkrigg Court and found something that inspired me again.

Can you imagine what Renard's face was like in the last panel? I'm thinking of another fang-mouth thing...

Still pretty "Very Special Episode"-level dialogue going on here.

I must say this page adds a new meaning to the word 'nosegay'!
For a bit of amusement, try re-reading, with a slight twist at the end:
"As a creature in this world, you will face many hardships. Who you love should not be one of them." *Hugs!* *Snif! Snif?*
"...Zimmy!?"
"...!"

I suppose Zimmy already makes a fantastic impression on Kat's parents. And they get along so well..Kat should give it a shot at some point. See what happens.

YAY! I have internet again! My computer crashed for a while, but I'm back, for the time being anyway; not sure how long that will last. Ok, can someone tell me what was the big deal about Tom's comment? As mentioned above, I've been out of it for the past couple of days. Also, some VERY cynical part of me suggested that Reynard's only purpose in his PLEASE BE OKAY pep-talk was to get Kat to hug him so he could figure out who she was dating. I don't actually think this, but it was a dark/funny idea. ALSO, I forgot that Kat hadn't already told him who she was dating, so I thought "what is he congratulating Paz for? She's not even in the room!" Silly me.

Also, as a kind of weird half-thought: you know how women in TV shows often have gay male friends who have deep insight about their lives? Is this sort of the reverse? Just a thought.

Someone belly-flopped into the forum at the weekend, condemning Rey's discussion about voices not being silenced and accusing Tom of *preaching*!
They were banned not because of the comments (which followed a typical troll pattern) but because belly-flops contravene Rule #1.
Tom's Monday remark seems to be referring to this incident.

In that case, paint me blue and strap me in front of a red sentry.

Just your average Internet idiot who might have gone unnoticed on a less savory board, but pretty shocking in these parts just repeated one issue over and over again, gloating at his self-styled unbreakable arguments. Tom made a couple of tweets about the guy, too. Apparently he didn't have the foresight of using an e-mail address that wouldn't have revealed that he wasn't in fact a 16 year old girl as he claimed for some reason.

Real smooth, with the e-mail address. gunnerkrigg.proboards.com/post/92623Also, is there an internet-specific meaning of "belly-flop"? Or is it exactly what you'd think? I'm not sure how it breaks rule #1 otherwise.
