I think my favorite part of this has to be Parley's face.

The forum has been wobbly for a week or so - lots of "page took too long to generate, an error message has been fed to your cat" and such. I think it's a regional thing with ISPs. If you have cable, it could be that there are many people on the internet at once during that particular period, or that there are many people requesting pageviews from the forum itself at that particular time. I've been running it at 250ms for a while, but there were times in the past when it was like molasses.

Looking closely at the last panel, it seems clear that Antimony is hot-footing it over the bridge, so I'm guessing they really were across the river and that Eglamore and Parley were waiting just on the forest side for the mediums (media? Nah, doesn't scan...) to do whatever they'd planned.
Which backfired, obviously, but not in a way that bothers Antimony. I'm inclined to believe that they went to just say "Howdy" to Coyote and Ysengrin, a training mission of sorts, and that the events leading up to the pell-mell retreat aren't related to them, but rather to some other misadventure along the way. Bees might not be very active in colder weather, but I still think it's something like that... they're not running for their lives, they're running more to avoid embarrassment or something on that level.

Maybe Andrews talent has something to do with it, trees lining up in an orderly fashion. I guess that would annoy Coyote and certainly Ysengrin.

I wondered about that, could Parley just blip over the ravine? what with the river being impassable. I always thought there was something special about the bridge that allowed one to pass. I mean, if the trick to cross the waters is just to go over it, then it's a pretty useless defense (the Jeannie-green arrow thing). (seeing as Coyote and lot's of others could just fly/jump over it) IIRC Tom said that the main thing stopping stuff from crossing was Jeanne killing it, so nothing should block Parley. Also, have you seen how wide the river is? No way anything is jumping that. That's weird, cause I remember Tom posting in the forum something along the lines of it beeing even impossible to try to cross it, like as if there's an invisible wall at the edge of the water or some weird space or reality warping power? also, I'm sure coyote would be able to jump, or fly, or just even stretch, over the river, regardless of its width.

Either way, Annie only needs to run faster than Eglamore... oh, right... or at least Smitty with Parley... oh, right. Hmm... I see why she didn't stop.
