I find it incredibly hilarious how the "X, X Everywhere!" meme was translated into Polish verbatim. I don't really think it's connected to that meme. For one, you can't see Buzz, and Woody, or their counterparts. Looks more like a desperate scream of irritation, by a disturbed mind. I can't really read science-fiction in Polish since all those technobabbly thingamajigs translated sound so absurd that they eclipse any seriousness to be had in the plot. Maybe you should get some by polish writers, then it wouldn't be translated.

I can hear the piercing ultrasonic screech, looking into that towering pigeon's Sauron-like eye.
It won't stop.

Oh for sure, I am quite aware of Tom's propensity to not-meme, it's jsut first thing that sprang into my mind - I'm just probably too rotten by the internet. Other than that it's a pretty disturbing picture (which I like), I can almost hear some screechy white noise. For some reason it reminds me of tic-tocs, but that doesn't even make sense, they are more of a toucan. Someone should show Gamma that you pelicans trump pigeons and can be therefore used for pigeon defence... though, wouldn't that make her afraid of pelicans instead? Drats. Maybe you should get some by polish writers, then it wouldn't be translated. I've read some Lem, for sure and Grzędowicz, though that's only part sci-fi. Those were pretty good, it's just that for some reason sci-fi in Polish seems off to me. Technobabble sounds best in English, as far as I am concerned.

jaen: I feel the same way whenever I read regular space operas in English. I mean.. there's just so much lexicon in there, it's crazy enough for a native English speaker. I can't imagine what it'd be like in another language. :/

If you look at the picture upside-down it looks like a grinning face with the pigeon head turning into a big nose. Spooky!

...big nose, you say? As to the concept - after characters began drawing, it was obvious whose this one should be. Not unexpected. But cool. ;D

The eyes and the birds together reminds me -- where have the Tic-Tocs gone?

Ooh! The Pigeons from Mars!
("My God... it's full of birds!" - an Optometrist's final words!)
People have been lobbying for Jones, but my vote for next artist would be... Paz.
(Apart from the current awkwardness with Kat, she's actually *met* Cityface!)

Paz would be pretty cool because any speech bubbles given to City Face in a comic could be his actual words.

I'm surprised by how good Red's spelling is.

heh, I thought Red would be coming soon... and yeah this isn't far off the crudeness I was expecting... :/
So 3 left, Parley and Mighty Eyebrows next?

Two left, by my reckoning.
Blue is, as you probably know, perverse slang for a red-haired person.
The huge nose & eyebrow duo could get a bit lovey-dovey. Why not Janet & Winsbury? ...Oh! Wait!

Blue's bird is quite pretty, actually. At least until Red finished it.

Yup, very elegant. Red's contribution is somewhat less elegant.

I was expecting, "Your poop! It goes down!" Instead, Red chose a more mature and subtle approach. Dare I call it artsy fartsy. Yes. Good show, madam. Artsy Fartsy, indeed.

Laundry List seems like a tough customer.
I bet it stems from being named "Laundry List" and enduring the taunts from other gulls at bird primary school.

Magpies also eat small birds if they can, but not whole, and I guess not pigeons.
