Ahh, such nice art today. @_@
Edit: Do you guys think he'll be doing another City Face story, or show us part one of "Annie in the Forest"? That's too many pages for a two week break, right?

Pfffft. It's obviously the Antarctic. Look at the pattern in the snowflakes! It spins backwards!

You know, if Tea hadn't announced every two week break before this, I wouldn't have recognized her... (I've always wondered about her. The wiki says she predates Gunnerkrigg Court, but I haven't been able to find anything about her; I think it's all been taken down. If anyone knows more, I'd like to hear it.) Pfffft. It's obviously the Antarctic. Look at the pattern in the snowflakes! It spins backwards! Hold up, Nnelg will tell us the truth, just wait a moment ;D Um, am I the de facto know-it-all now? Might as well rename myself "Yogurt"... And my first guess would've been Tibet.

Tom's really come far.
The April 1st date is pretty worrying.

Tom's really come far. The April 1st date is pretty worrying. True that, on both counts I'd love to see 5 or 4 day a week updates after this. I could see Tom subverting April Fools by announcing it then and actually doing it. I'm fascinated by the choice of Tea's location though

Did I hear someone say CITYFACE?!!!
Cityface Strikes Back: Return of the Cityface?
Edit: Although, it looks like both of the City Face interludes were announced as "short stories", but this time it's just "special comics". Time to prepare the saddest face?
Edit2: Tea has changed a lot since the previous time.

I never noticed how bright Tea's eyes are before this page. Her pupils seem to be off-center here as well... it's rather eerie...

I'm wondering if Ms Tea comes from Midwich?
April 1, and Coyote is asking 'But who was this mystery correspondent of Feather Brained Girl*. Were they husband and wife?" Annie shoos Coyote off saying "My friend. My storyline! (Go talk to Ysengrin instead of empty space)" ..and Tea comes out of the fourth wall saying "Just get on with the chapter already!"
*Coyote hasn't met Kat yet. What do *you* think he might call her?

A little too brash for his tastes, isn't it? I expect the new page to just be the chapter title, but have it be a wad of misdirection. Actually, that's not any different than his usual chapter titles, is it? Oh well, maybe he'll have some other announcement shenanigans.

I'd have guessed Antarctic too. I thought the figure in the background was playing with a penguin, but looked again and thought maybe it's a bag that they had set down instead. Tea's eyes look beautiful in this page. Tom's artwork improves constantly. I wonder what program(s) he uses for making the comic. Is this the first time we've seen snow in GC? NopeI think SpitefulFox meant within the actual grounds itself, not just in the GC universe. Though I believe this isn't at the Court at all (see above). City Face. City Face. City Face. City Face. City Face. City Faaaaaaceeeee. No. Wait. The chronicles of Boxbot. More like the Chronicles of Robox~

Well, this is an announcement page, so I assumed they meant in general. Alas, who is to say it cant both be true? Maybe that valley Jones approaches is the later location of the Court and it's all an coincidence of Douglas-Adamsesque proportions. *new head canon about meaningless detail established*

No matter where Tea comes from, I always enjoy those filler pages with her. They tend to be some real eye candy (as seen here and here. They also show nicely how Tom's art evolves. Seriously, the most recent one, in all it's simplicity, is just gorgeous!

There's ten pages of something coming up, but Annie in the Forest is at least 32 pages, according to the photo we saw in the last update, so it's definitely not that. Tea's eyes look beautiful in this page. Tom's artwork improves constantly. I wonder what program(s) he uses for making the comic. He uses Manga Studio Pro for part of the process. No, actually he uses Photoshop for GC, and Manga Studio for the extra comics. Unless he has said otherwise somewhere since I snapped up that information, in which case I stand corrected. Photoshop is a lot better with colors than Manga Studio anyway. (Also it's called Manga Studio EX, not Manga Studio Pro.)
