So the Seraphs are Pharisees? Also: "We have decided to decline your offer of a butt kicking". Best line of dialogue of 2013. Certainly too early to make that call, good sir. I am intrigued to see how this finishes.

So the Seraphs are Pharisees? I was thinking the exact same thing. This sounds a lot like a messianic prophecy to me. This page does suggest that S13 falls into the category of "too stupid to live". He got into trouble before the comic began with preaching something that the other Seraphs considered "disinformation" (what it was, we don't know, since he hadn't met Kat yet), was first hidden away in a closet and then turned into paper clips for his actions, and when rescued by Annie, starts preaching all over again, drawing fresh attention to himself. Apparently another example of just how artificial the robots' artificial intelligence is. I wouldn't call that stupid. MLK got arrested and went back to preaching the same things. I call that passionate. Which is quite abnormal, but refreshing, for a robot.

Heh, that poster.
I'm curious how this chapter will unfold, though, since I'm guessing this wont just lead to changes for Kat, Robot and Shadow.

This is how you tell a story. Beneath the veneer of robotic hilarity lurks deadly seriousness. Those robots may seem like they're kidding around, but they fo' realz.

You know, I hadn't given any credit to the notion that the robots had a preexisting set of superstitious beliefs ere Robot's recent "ministries" before, but now... I think we're on to something big here. Something huge. Something spanning many different mysteries about the Court, connecting them in an entirely new way that brings up even more Questions. If before we could only see the tip of the iceberg, then by the time we unravel the secret of Robot's past, that iceberg will turn out to just be the tip of an undersea mountain. Kat has been in the court her whole life wasn't she? so he could have known about her but never approached True, but I somehow get the feeling that Robot was in that box before Kat was even born.

Yes, I'd thought of that perspective - that it's standing up for what you believe in - after I posted it. I suppose that I didn't think of it right away since I thought of Robot's beliefs about Kat being an angel or divinity as mistaken, certainly nothing along the lines of, say, racial equality and harmony (to use the example you cited).

Couldn't help myself. Be on the lookout for this traitorously traitorous robot that is a traitor. Heh, that's pure avatar fodder.

I can't wait.

(Nice avatar by the way)

Unfortunately, you may have to. Tom isn't given to handing out too much information in one chunk...

Unfortunately, you may have to. Tom isn't given to handing out too much information in one chunk... and when he does he often adds more questions about another bit.
