The beacon is probably just a communication device. Otherwise it would be easier to just have Annie teleport out on her own. Well, as Eggy arrives it looks to me like he is landing, i.e. he jumped there. If that's the case then the beacon only notified him of where he is needed; a second beacon would just inform him of where he is, and he already knows that. Alternatively, if the beacon did teleport him in - then it's a summoning device, not a sending device. A second beacon would also summon him to where it is; they'd need someone somewhere else to break it, and how would that person know when to do so? Fortunately, Eggy has his jumpy-magic, and that seems to be quite sufficient to the need. No. The Dreamer, that Brynhildr used the same sigil to teleport. This is weaving 'magic', not just a jump.

Doesn't mean that the magic is in the beacon. Eglamore did not jump there. If he is a weaver, then he is. If he is not, then someone else sent him there. The beacon is more than just a signal.

I don't understand what you're trying to say here, but I don't see why JJ can't be able to teleport on his own (with or without the help of other tools) and the beacon be just a signal.

I do not agree with the statement that Eglamore merely jumped. I do not know or discuss whether he is a weaver, or not, but simply that the presence of the sigil means that someone is. It was suggested that Eglamore simply jumped there rather than teleporting. I disagree with that.

It seems to me that he transported (or was transported) to Antimony's location, but once he picked her up he was jumping to get her back to the Court. Leastways, they appear to be airborne in the fourth and fifth panels. This, to me, implies that the beacon was a trigger for a measure that was prepared in advance to get him to her, but that he is on his own after that. He's not helpless on his own, but he has no access to the transportation system and has to settle for jumping.

A whole new wooooorld...
Ugh, like things weren't bad enough between the Court and the forest before. What was even the point of Coyote doing this?

I think Ys is going to feel a great deal of regret after this, but hide it, as per usual, or make a very offhand comment that somewhat implies he regrets it, the next time they meet. I wonder, though, if Coyote will continue keeping Ys as his personal Annie-fetcher after this. Probably will keep... that's Coyote, after all. Ugh, like things weren't bad enough between the Court and the forest before. What was even the point of Coyote doing this? Stir the cauldron and look what floats up? For fun.
