On an unrelated note: no idea where had Gamma left the headband of +5 straightness, but looks like Dora Bianchi (of QC fame) has just picked it up. Ether must be a really weird place. Ha! I just finished looking at today's QC. Something about Dora's hair kept bothering me. Now, I know why. The ether put the headband on a diet and ate its flower first. Dora looks way weird with it. I may be wrong, but it seems like it's been a while since Ys reacted so viciously. AKA Annie stumbling in on him eating.

Coyote is getting more... abstract. The funny thing is that he started to remind me of Mr Nobody from Doom Patrol a couple of pages ago.

Another idea: Part of the reason that Ysengrin is so upset is that Coyote has previously made him go through a bunch of suffering in order to keep the Great Secret... That's it! Coyote gave Ysengrin a binding (on the ear) to keep the Great Secret. Ysengrin told the Secret and got his ear snipped off.

No need to be rude to edguy.. He was just asking a question, and he phrased it very politely. He could always want to check out the fanart thread (which could also contain spoilers) or the theories threads (which could also most definetly contain spoilers).
... Wait, what are you reading on here, EdGuy?
Ed, might I suggest you just read the comic when it updates, if you insist on coming to the forums? It does seem a tiny bit selfish for us to change how we've been doing things for years.

I wasn't being rude, just think its redundant to ask us not to put a spoiler in the name of the forum thread when the contents of the thread are a even bigger spoiler. If you're going to read that, why bother with the small tiny spoiler in the title?

Just a little request to you who make the new comic threads; would it be much to ask you stopped adding the tiny spoilers in the title? I know most are insignificant out of context, but since I read my webcomics in batches of a month or two at the time, yet still frequent forums, I'd appreciate not to get any ideas xD Anyways, no biggie, but you could just write "Comic [xxxx]" or something like that? It's kinda SOP to place a blurb from the page in the subject line. If you don't want to see spoilers, I would humbly suggest staying clear of the forum until you are caught up, as this is spoiler central by its very nature, and that is not likely to change, subject blurbs or no. It's a little like walking into a Ford assembly line and saying "Hey, whoa, back up guys, I don't want to get that delicious new car smell before I buy one! Can't you guys hang some air fresheners so it'll be a surprise?".

I think I get it. Edguy will be reading through his batch of updates and get to one of those really awesome/unexpected pages, and he'll wonder what people said about it. Maybe he wants to know what our theories were before he reads any further, so he can ponder which ones he believes without knowing the truth.
I like the thread titles. It makes it easier to connect the number to the page.
I'm just saying that I don't think Edguy is weird for coming here without being fully caught up.

Anyone else see Ysengrin smiling for a second in panel 4? No? Oh, okay then. Like a Kzin! ( Scream and leap!)

I wish I had Edguy's epic patience. A whole month of GC in one day? Man, that's almost like your first archive binge all over again.
Almost...

judgedeadd's Ultimate Listing thread would be good for that, but it contains the thread titles, too. So, here's a compromise! Highlight this javascript, and drag it to your bookmark bar/folder to make a bookmarklet: javascript:for (var a in document.links) { var l=String(document.links.textContent); var m=l.match(/[0-9]*/gi)[0]; if(m.length > 0) { document.links.textContent=m; } }I intended this to work as a bookmarklet, but something's not quite right. It works if you paste it in your browser's script command line, but that's clunky...I'll look into it for a few more minutes. edit: Ah, right, function has to return void. For clarity, try this - it worked for me in Chrome. Just highlight everything from javascript: onward (including the word javascript!) and drag it to your bookmark bar. You can give it a name later. Now, bookmark the Ultimate Listing as well. Whenever you go to the Ultimate Listing, click the bookmarklet, and it'll remove all the thread titles: javascript:(function(){for (var a in document.links) { var l=String(document.links .textContent); var m=l.match(/[0-9]*/gi)[0]; if(m.length > 0) { document.links.textContent=m; } } } ());

Nice workaround. ;D
It seems there is no problem that coffee and JavaScript cannot fix.

OK, reading this chapter from the start makes it a ridiculous number of mood-swings for everyone involved (well, except Eglamore). Just what lies at the end of this rollercoaster? I swear, if this chapter concludes in a similar way as the last one, I'm going to call it an emotional trollercoaster. I suspect that the Great Secret has something to do with Coyote's power waning somehow, or revealing a secret weakness that Ysengrin really doesn't want getting out. But on this matter, I'm more likely to be wrong than right.

Something about Ysengrin's reaction feels less to me like "please, don't say this embarrassing thing about me" and more like "please, don't do this to her you asshole." Coyote is a trickster god, after all, and he's obviously in a VERY tricky mood. It'd be just like a trickster god to convince someone to do what you want in exchange for a negative "favor". Well, whatever it is, I expect it to be somewhat embarrassing. To whom remains to be seen, though. I read it as "Coyote! Have some dignity!" v.2 as 'Grin knows this will be a stupid joke he doesn't like. Which is why his reaction didn't change at all even after his opinion of Annie changed a lot. With this quick "good! deal!" it feels more and more like Coyote started the whole show as a pretext and framing for this joke.

If it does turn out to be a devious plan I'll admit I was wrong, but I'm still holding to the theory that Coyote just really is that shallow and screwed up in the head.
