Annie can make boots that always fit their user perfectly and then walks without any. She could have gone completely without footwear this time, if she felt so inclined. Hence my assumption that she's going for a compromise between barefoot and proper shoes. I agree. She really is young, but most of the time it's hard to tell. I suspect that she will still look like a teen standing next to him even when she's an adult. He really is ginormous. Most 14-year old girls don't grow much, any more, so yeah. I suspect that Annie is pretty close to her adult height, already. And though I said that he was huge, I didn't even realize just how big Eglamore was until I took a second look. It looks like Annie should grow a head taller just to reach his shoulders!

Woah, did Eglamore just call Annie by her first name? It's always been "Carver." (Unless I'm forgetting an instance.)

At least we know that Tom still sees Annie as the protagonist (I'd wondered if he was shifting - maybe without realizing it - towards Kat becoming the protagonst, something like the shift in "The Lord of the Rings" from Frodo as the main character to Sam as the main character). Fell deeds awake, fire and slaughter! Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now! Ride to Gondorkrigg! Now personally, I sense a minor lecture about the impropriety of young ladies throwing fireballs at the games teacher coming on.

Tom's art has improved a lot. I like Annie in panel 4. It's not an easy angle to draw.

I hope she responds by calling him Jimmy Jims.

Regarding her being or not being the medium, I thought this chapter might be worth re-reading. Good grief, alot has happened since then!

Maybe we'll find out exactly what happened during that summer break, after all...

So will this be on the site but outside of the regular chapter structure, like City Face, or something else?

So will this be on the site but outside of the regular chapter structure, like City Face, or something else? If I were a betting man, I'd say a short, print-only, paperback supplement. At least, that's been Rich's model over at OotS. Main storyline on the site and in print, side stories and backstory in print only.

With the online readership hypothetically split into the groups who have and haven't read the offline content, the use of spoiler tags would have to increase. *looks for spoiler tag butunz*

I'd prefer he publish through an ebook or ebook+print-on-demand site such as Smashwords or Lulu or equivalent. I don't want the paper. It weighs too much and takes too much space. I live in a motorhome.

It weighs too much and takes too much space. I live in a motorhome. Maybe I'm weird, but I like having something you can pull off the shelf and flip through. Clicking a mouse just doesn't have the same feeling. It's like the difference between looking at art on a webpage slideshow and appreciating it a physical gallery. Of course, there is no accounting for taste, or space constraints. I lived out of an RV for a year or so after going to college the first time, so I feel ya on that one. Not exactly room for a library in there.
