The problem comes when you are doing a full archive binge and there are 30 threads that you have a (at least seemingly) meaningful point for. I'm pretty sure that would annoy/piss off everyone. Yup, archive binges tend to cause bad withdrawal.

I think the archive discussion thing is a good idea, but if we have people necro'ing threads from 2009, things on the front page are going to get crowded and confusing in a hurry. Hence my point about making a sub-board for each completed Chapter. Then we could discuss old pages in the correct context without cluttering up the main board. At the moment anybody starting the story from scratch has very little option for discussing the early pages as they read them. Even finding the relevant thread can be tedious and actually contributing to the discussion risks allegations of "necro-threading", which in this context makes little sense anyway: those pages are just as relevant today as when they were posted.

I dunno. There are a number of comics, perhaps chapters, that just aren't very controversial. Other threads specific to comics have badly meandered or were throttled by memes. One or two might've been locked.
Do we really need to fear an attack of zombie threads scrubbing all else from the main board if we grant free rein to the resurrectionists? That might happen for short periods when we have a large influx of new readers to the comic, but this isn't a huge conversational forum. Most people remain lurkers because the forum is just for discussing the comic. The actual posting from noob migration will probably remain disproportionately low compared to other forums.
Perhaps we could assemble a list of oft-necro'd threads by hot issue instead of by comic, such as the "noticed on reread" and "Jones" threads? That would make for a short list that would be more user-friendly than a comprehensive list of all comics; I would expect most new members to post there but reanimating the old comic thread would still be an option for those who wish, assuming the thread is still available. Hopefully that would regulate any potential zombie apocalypse. Thoughts?

Dropping "everything beyond the previous chapter" into a subforum may be a good idea. Overdoing this would be pointless, though.

My thought is that Annie, now freed from being tethered to the Blinker Stone when astral, has gone wandering off and lost track of time.
Someone close to/resonant with Annie needs to call her home to her body, and Zimmy and Kat are the best candidates for that outside of Reynard and Coyote.
Reynard is likely off looking for Annie, and Coyote is probably laughing his tail off on general principle.
