I hope next page features Jack purchasing flowers and candy at a nearby convenience store.

This chapter has Zimmy in it. The chances of being able to understand it just dropped drastically.

I don't know if I'm seeing too much into it (Tom, you sure have managed to make me crazy in this regard!) but in the penultimate panel where Zimmy has thrown the scar away and it's curled into nearly a loop, the black space surrounded by the scar itself looks like a man's silhouette facing toward Zimmy. Am I crazy, or do you all see it too?

Am I crazy, or do you all see it too? I see it too but I don't think it means anything. I think it's a case of the mind seeing faces in amorphous shapes, like cloud that looks like Rolf Harris or seeing Jesus on your toast I'm so glad this forum goes into as much detail and analysis as it does. I'd miss tons of little details otherwise.

Why is it so important for Zimmy to "be herself" anyways?
It's not like she will retain any sort of composure by doing so. In fact spending some time as Ann might be good for her, you know wash up, have a healthy conversation or two. Or could it be Ann is some how more f-ed up than Zimmy O.O???

I choose to believe that she got kicked through that wall by one of the velociraptors she is fighting.

I choose to believe that she got kicked through that wall by one of the velociraptors she is fighting. In the real world, that would be extremely improbable. Velociraptors were too small; one would barely have the momentum to kick Zimmy over - forget kicking her through a wall. But they did have vicious slashing claws, and there'd be at least one nasty cut or gouge that WOULD be hers. Of course, that's OUR real world. Not necessarily their real world, let alone the Zimmyverse. (Also, Zimmy didn't get kicked through a wall, at least not that we see. She fell, for some unknown reason, into a pile of garbage.)

Anyone want to guess why she's scrabbling around in the trash? I say she's chasing rats.

Zimmy/Gamma duo parallel with Annie/Kat duo this chapter? Zimmy and Annie are both etheric-peoples so maybe there is a similar parallel with Kat and Gamma?
TOO DEEP PERHAPS, GO HOME JOE.

What significance does their need to be? An ethereal being gave her the cut, so it's a wound on her ethereal being. And for some reason, it's not healing, but since we don't really know how "spirit wounds" work, especially those given by distilled hate ghosts... Yeah, I guess there is some explaining that could be done. What do you mean, the significant thing isn't the cut (not on this page at least), it is the fact that it is Annie's wound, and that Zimmy now has it instead. I was responding to Cleo's post, in which I believe he was just referring to Annie's cut throughout the story, not today's page specifically. In the future I will be sure to quote posts, to avoid confusion.

Great catch! I'd totally forgotten about that page. Given what Zimmy is saying there, this does not bode well at all. (Of course, today's page kinda suggests that too!)

Tom is going to fuck with our minds in this chapter. I can feel it in me bones. Going to? I'm gonna have nightmares about glowing disembodied scars that make people go rrraarrgghh for the rest of the week. Zimmy is like, the embodiment of nightmares, complete with the crankiness afterwards.

Zimmy's hair is different. I'm not quite sure what it is, exactly, but part of it might be the fact that her hair usually parts on the side rather than the middle. And part of it is probably just lighting. It's also straighter and less tangled than usual, I think. In fact, except for the color, it looks more like Antimony's hair.
This is probably just an art thing that I'm reading too much into.

Yes, I came here to note that her hair is being tinged with red. I think Zimmy's been having some identity issues since her last encounter with Annie.

since Zimmy is in it AND it is going to have City Face in it (it better!). Can anyone say "Best chapter ever!"? So... we'll see the first meeting of Zimmy and City Face? Tom is going to fuck with our minds in this chapter. I can feel it in me bones. Going to? I'm gonna have nightmares about glowing disembodied scars that make people go rrraarrgghh for the rest of the week. Don't get it jinxed. There's so much possibilities to replace these nightmares with something more "interesting"... Gah, there's Zimmingham pizza jumping at the viewer at the end! Edit: OK, Annie still had it during the happy fun times with the ex-fairies. It must be contagious then ^^ So... a disembodied scar occasionally will create spawn and " enjoy emulating the noble mosquito, leech and hagfish" now? It seems Zimmy has trouble telling who she is often. Anyone else feel really sorry for her? But which one is the cause? Maybe she has trouble telling who she is because her own life is like this?..

It's interesting that we don't actually get to see Zimmy's face after she tosses the scar aside. I want to know what her face looks like now.

Interesting.
It seems like the scar caused by Jeanne had been cross-pollinated into Zimmingham. And the Annie-Zimmy crossover has had lasting effects, at least for etheric Zimmy.

The circle on Zimmy's chest looks unusually large in panel 2. I wonder if there's a reason for that.

In the future I will be sure to quote posts, to avoid confusion. She. I find the scar/cut significant because it was given by an etheric being and it only exists in that realm. I'm not entirely sure it's a scar and not an open cut which means it's not healing. Coyote mentioned it and said it must have been someone/thing (can't remember which) very powerful and Annie seems unaware of its existence. Learning about it could be helpful for any potential face-off with Jeanne at the very least, the court gave her great power to weild in the ether.

this bending/blending of reality (in Zimmy's world...probably Gamma's too) feels pretty creepy to me.

Do you think what happened to Jeanne is exactly what the court wanted, or only an approximation? Is it possible that they screwed up, but still got basically what they wanted out of the whole thing? Which I'm guessing at the most basic level was binding her soul to the waters to prevent anyone from crossing anywhere but the bridge... But did they want a distilled hate ghost? How did they know exactly what was going to happen? D:

I think it's entirely possible that they didn't know exactly what was going to happen though if anyone knew that Jeanne would become some form of hate-ghost it would have been Diego. I think there might have been more knowledge about what they were going considering Elf guy was a required element. Steadman was ready for him with the green device. There was a definite awareness of Jeanne's love for him. They certainly knew that they were breaking her heart, perhaps that was their main aim. Or at least Diego's.
