It seems that way. Thank goodness Parley wasn't waving that thing around at any humans. Robot should be an easy fix (even if he has to go back to being a mouse or something for a little while), and it's looking more and more like Shadow's just REALLY disoriented.
And tee-hee. Smits is Andy now.

I don't know. I have a feeling Shadow is going to be stuck like this.

*phew* Ok, so shadow has a case of the newly-three-dimensional-wibbles, I can handle that.
They are handling this so calmly and sensibly, I'm very proud. I'm sure that once the crisis has passed there will be some delayed freaking out or a little crying at the shock of it all but right now, they are showing maturity.
Blimey, what a chapter so far.

I think it is going quite well considering. Three characters disabled or in shock, the other three instantly achieve the perfect division of labor: Kat is closest to robots, Annie to ethereal/magical beings, and Andrew to George.
Now they've evaluated things, it's time to put George to work helping to fix the problem. Even if it turns out that the only help she can do is transportation, it would be better for her (I think) if she's as involved as can be arranged without visibly slowing down the repair.
It will probably still take longer to finish repairing George than to finish repairing Robot.
And Shadow2 will take even longer, not to get better, but to figure out and adjust to life as a being with an independent 3D existence.

They are all surprisingly level-headed... I'd have freaked out more than this in this situation, I reckon.

Can't really say this is a big surprise, can we? They gave a god tooth to the most thick-headed of the main cast. Well, the ones that are both human and alive, anyway. Parley's a good kid, but she's not known for being brainy. "Derp, how sharp can it beeee"

Oh God, this is one of the most amazing things to happen in the comic yet. He's been around since the beginning, but hardly had his own developments, like this one. What on Earth is happening to Shadow 2?

Wild thought: nobody knows what to do with Shadow like this, so Annie takes Shadow to Coyote to figure out what to do.
Bit less wild thought: She goes to Jones.

Wait a minute…
Jeanne is stuck.
What if Coyote's tooth could unstick her?

Also, wait a minute, if they teleported away Robots body, which is what Shadow was attatched to, who or what the heck is he attatched to now? Himself?? Other than that fact, looks like Shadow will be okay and he is just experiencing 3Dimensionality in a way he's never experienced before.

Told you Shadow would be Fine Was touch and go for a bit there. It is possible Annie might be able to heal Shadow, or at least be able to offer a better diagnosis. I'm guessing Shadow will be fine after he readjusts. And now he has a whole new way to experience the world. He'll actually be able to walk along-side his friends. Hopefully Annie can help him Adjust to his new view of the world.

Still, he was attatched to Robot, but with Robot teleported away, who or what is Shadow attatched to or does that particular shadowman 'rule' not apply anymore? That's what I'm wondering here.

Also, 'etheric spatula' is one of the best descriptions for anything ever. Well done, grahamf.

Oh, thank goodness, Shadow 2's OK!! I was super nervous when I checked the comic this morning, particularly since I dreamed last night that Shadow 2 died and we saw a psychopomp come to take him away (it wasn't Muut, though, in my dream; it was a bright green frog... horse... alien blob thing, wearing a top hat and smoking a pipe. ...what? it's not like I'm the only one whose subconscious is completely nuts). So, very relieved to hear Shadow say he's okay. ...but I do hope he adjusts to this extra dimension relatively quickly; his wobbly limbs and wonky fingers are kinda creeping me out. Glad to see he can still smile, though.

I wonder if Parley, with Smitty, can use other peoples memories to teleport to the location? Or at least go where the other person rather than Parley, wants to go to.
At least now Parley can blip over there whenever she wants or needs to.
I'm still a bit worried and also curious as to Shadow since normally he needs to be connected to something, but since the shadowman rule of being shadowlike on a surface no longer applies, maybe that rule no longer applies either.

Possibly now that he's a three dimensional entity, he is attached to his own shadow? From the formspring: since Shadowmen apparently have to attach to anything that casts a shadow or is touching the ground, why can't they attach to their own shadow?Because until this moment, shadow men do not cast shadows. Confirmed? Because until this moment, shadow men do not cast shadows.

Oh. OOOOOOOOOOOOOH. I got it. I think. They're called glass eye men. See, they're like Prince Rupert's Drops: www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V2eCFsDkK0Except they're not attacked by kinetic motion, but by light. However, as long as they're anchored into a no-light zone, they're safe, the light pass through them harmlessly (hence why they don't themselves cast a shadow); but if the anchor is cut, the entire body explodes (or in this case, sees its molecular structure disintegrated by light). Mystery solved!

I guess it's confirmed since they didn't before now.

Shadow 2 is kind of creeping me out right now...but this could be the most important advancement in the comic YET! FUTURE: Could Shadow 2 become a guide from the 2D world to 3D for his fellow glass-men?? (P.S. Once again, Smitty's eyebrows are the best.)

FUTURE: Could Shadow 2 become a guide from the 2D world to 3D for his fellow glass-men?? Like a prophet? Not sure whether Coyote would like that or how he would deal with such a thing, even though he IS the creator god of the Glass Eyed Men/Shadowpeople.
