I like how the blade visibly distorts air around it.

So it's like a lightsaber that makes a constant Coyote laugh instead of a hum? Is this supposed to imply that Coyote has a razor-sharp sense of humor? Does the blade look bigger to anyone? Perhaps it grows to a comfortable size depending on the wielder or its intended purpose?

YIKES. Parley could actually take her out with that thing (plus her teleportation). Dude you guys are trying to distract her, not kill her.

Maybe Coyote's laughter will be distraction enough? ;D

Is it a one-handed weapon? That's not Parley's strength.

Because with the Happy Knife, stabbing is an absolute joy.

Rock!
What an incredibly drawn weapon...
------------
And then we find out it's only good for cutting the very Earth (or maybe earth), which is why Coyote is laughing so hard.

Haha, the Hilarious Blade indeed.
But if they can hear Coyote's laugh from this side, can Coyote hear them on his side?

I think we'll find out whether it changes size by the next page.
I think the laughter is very quiet, though - Parley has to hold it near her ear to listen and doesn't immediately notice it.

I think my favorite part of the page is Parley's expression on the last page. She's like "WTF did you just hand me?"
Also, the sharpness lines coming off the blade scatter outward as right-angle tracery. Isn't that effect usually used for the Court's etheric stuff?

This is a little alarming, i hope Annie tells Parley how sharp the blade is or otherwise there could be an accident. didn't Coyote said it's sharp enough to cut thought anything?

It may be a bit overshadowed by the hilarity, but let's not overlook the awesome expressions and poses here! Parley's got an excellent valiant-knight-vibe going there!

Oh my goodness I take back everything I ever said about 'oh don't worry it's probably not that dangerous la la la.' A sword powered by Coyote's laughter?! That weapon is above all of their power levels combined.
That said, I guess Annie's drawn it before then? I wonder what sort of experimentation she's done with it. As for its shape... well, I'm only guessing here, but I have to assume that if it can change to and from a tooth, it can probably change its own general size/shape to match the will/expertise of the user?
And we can definitely see here that it is in fact an etherically-oriented weapon, which Jeanne's is as well, so I'm betting that's gonna be important at some point. I wasn't sure whether Parley would even be able to parry/fight with a normal blade, as Jeanne's ghosty powers might make her own sword insubstantial to it (though obviously not to a human face, but I guess there's some sort of physical/etherical duality to a person that wouldn't necessarily apply to a mundane object like Parley's sword.)

Glad that Annie clarified it. You can see Parley's great relief. ;D I hereby dub it, the Happy Knife. Because with the Happy Knife, stabbing is an absolute joy. (from comments) Coyote seems to have a rather biting sense of humor. PsycoJoe, 25.11.2011, 12:04am #

(though obviously not to a human face, but I guess there's some sort of physical/etherical duality to a person that wouldn't necessarily apply to a mundane object like Parley's sword.) If you recall though, the slice here and the page after it, only Annie's Etherial self is sliced. It kinda makes sense to fight fire with fire. Or ether with ether. Or fight anything with coyote power, since that's an über epic win :]
