Well now that just proves the old adage that the Parley is mightier than the sword.

Probably should give the corpse a proper burial after Jeanne is freed. I suspect she's not going to calm down much more than allows a short talk without constant attacks until they two are buried together and on the other side.

I meant Jeannes corpse, but yes the Forest Elf boyfriends remains should be buried as well if there is anything to bury.

Parley: "I need to kill fast and swords too slow!" Oh, damn you. In this case, I'm not sure Parley's bip-fighting is necessarily too helpful, and they might be overconfident... we are talking about fighting a ghost here. Who managed to cross the waters she wasn't supposed to be able to back when Annie was down there.

Parley: "I need to kill fast and swords too slow!" Parley's sword teacher is in fact John Freeman (hopes that was actually a reference) This makes me wonder: Can she teleport when etherically projected? Or if she's planning to teleport down there, could she even fight ghost Jeanne in person?

new member here, been lurking around since Spring Heeled was up.
Anyways, just made an account to state a wild speculation of mine: What if Parley would have an extra advantage over Jeanne besides her bipping. What if... she also has the Coyote Tooth?

There's one major problem with that idea, it was entrusted to Annie and it may only work for her. Not to mention that nobody else besides coyote and later on, renard, knows about the thing.

Anyone else think bipfighting against Jeanne might be a bad idea? In The Coward Heart, she held Parley and Annie in the river bank. It's true she was using the blinker stone to do that, but I'm worried she might have other tricks up her etheric sleeve and teleporting might not work to have the upper hand. It costs her nothing to try. If it doesn't work she's still been fast enough to keep with with Jeanne in the past. www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=781But if it does work, all the better.

That.. that's cheating! parley how could you ._. Real swordfighting: if you accomplish your goal and walk away without serious injury, whatever you did was good... enough.

Real swordfighting: if you accomplish your goal and walk away without serious injury, whatever you did was good... enough. But what would Jeanne think of that? Parley wanted to give her a good fight, but this might not be the best way to do it, even though bip!fighting is pretty cool.

The evidence suggests that Jeanne was a soldier, not a fencer or stage-fighter. I believe she'll take the appropriate attitude. Although she probably won't appreciate being the one facing a bip!fighter. The still unanswered question though: can ethereal!Parley do that?

The still unanswered question though: can ethereal!Parley do that? Considering that "distortion of space" (blech) BIPPING is an "ethereal" technique, I would expect so.
