This page makes me realise the potential for stalking by people with etheric abilities is unconfortably strong.

Now we know how powerful a psychic he is, I'm sure Lindsey has the same abilities.... maybe.....
Heck, maybe the other dimension that her brain operates in is Etheric Space, or whatever we should call it.
Also, if he can see her, can't he also hear her? I know its not the same thing, but with etheric space.....
Edit2: Nm, missing and then realizing the obvious here. She can talk in etheric space and not talk in the real world and vice versa.
Edit3: What do you guys think sounds better, The Etherium or Etheric Space? I don't think anybody in comic has called the etheric plane by some name like etherium or something, not sure..... Actually, etheric plane seems to fit.....

Maybe.

I haven't been a Jack fan up to this point, but I'm actually liking this latest version of him.

I... I might have squealed with adolescent glee at the last panel. Maybe. Don't worry. You were not alone. I won't be terribly surprised if they get interrupted, though. Or if Jack is a complete gentleman and doesn't actually try anything... Nah. I'm going with interruption.

I'm not surprised they've moved. Jack likes to wander about and check places out, and the roof is always a good spot.

<pulls out magic 8 ball> Kat will be gay by chapter 50, Jack shall date Annie only in the Etheric Space by chapter 40 and Smitty's eyebrows shall cause chaos while the rest of him cause order
this is 2/3rds my least favorite chapter and i'm just sitting around waiting for Parley and Smith to come back

Ooh, ooh, ooh, does this mean our third and final story is going to be about something Annie did in the forest? Oh, please, oh, please let that be it! Summer forest stories! My fannish heart brims o'er with glee! ♥♥♥
...oh, right, and there's shipping, too. Cute. XD;

There's always the third option of Annie brushing him off, with a hand to the face like she did Coyote. I would enjoy that immensely.

Meh. Generic straight romance is boring and stupid.
This is just the giant ship-sinking chapter, isn't it? And here I thought GC was going to actually attempt to be different. Oh well. Looks like we're going down the stereotypical "oh look the kids will end up like the parents did" crap that ruins any story of this type. Nothing interesting or different here, it seems.
Good to know I have one less comic to keep up with, I guess.

Which is why Annie is currently engaging in a 'boring straight romance' the son of one of her mother's antagonists. I don't see exactly why your upset; the chapter isn't over yet by any means.

Just wait. It will get better. Quit your Whining. Really. I'm going to start magically liking Jack and the fact that Tom's ensured we won't get anything resembling a Kat/Annie end? Great, one more boring-ass straight romance. Tons of potential lost and for what? Because Tom didn't feel like taking any chances. That's for the two designated 'weird' kids in the comic, huh? Can't have the main characters interested in each other, despite all the little hints (and sometimes not so little ones) dropped all over the place. Must make them straight, boring, and ensure they wind up with the worst characters in the comic. Yeah, tell me what there is to look forward to with this couple, hoss. You seem to be all for it. Jack's the most boring lead in any romance since Chiba Mamoru from Sailormoon. There's not a single interesting (or redeeming) thing about him and yet it's looking increasingly like Annie's going to end up with him. Because straight people, that's why. God forbid GCC take a chance with anything. Nope, must conform to the status quo and leave that gay shit to the weirdo characters, right? Yeah, no. Fuck you and fuck Tom. I guess it's nice he made a 'please stop reading my webcomic, it's becoming like any other teen romance strip' arc though. Real considerate-like. Always good to see straightforward, boring fuckin' romance blooming. And at the end, they'll have a kid, Annie'll die, and Kat'll be there to talk about the kid's adventures in the school or some other stereotypically generic thing. Because the kids must be like the parents, always and forever.

"OHNO ANNIE ND KAT R NOT GAY!"
Imagine situations were reversed and people were complaining about the two characters not being straight. What if it was Annie, Karl and Jackie? Then this topic would be a storm of "ur homophobic!!!!1!!!!!one!!!!!"
The percentage of gay people in the world is actually quite small, so this is really just realistic. Just because two people of the same sex are good friends doesn't mean they're secretly gay for each other. There are many different types of love, as Tom has said on Formspring once or twice.
This kind of thing happens in every damn fandom. The difference is that most fans are content to just write their little slashfics without any hope of canonical reinforcement.
Maybe Tom doesn't want to write his two main characters into a gay relationship? Maybe he's trying to actually tell a story, rather than just checking all the boxes on the "issues that will make me cool and trendy" list of stuff to do in webcomics. Writing a gay relationship just for the sake of "doing something different" doesn't really help anyone's cause.

It's hardly a 'boring, straight romance', and there's nothing cowardly or boring about not 'taking a chance' that you don't feel adds to the story or the accuracy of the story.

If Antimony and Jack do become a lovey-dovey couple does anyone really believe they'll go placidly into adulthood, marriage and birthing a new generation of fire spirit with boring predictability?
I've said this elsewhere and for a number of years, but if Antimony is indeed following a track through the story mirroring Surma (but possibly going a bit further in some ways) doesn't it stand to reason that she will also experience a romantic triangle similar to the Eggers/Anthony one? If that is the case then the smart money isn't on the early favorite.
