Well, now we know what the cube is. A huge crystal of PURE LSD. Oh god I was wondering when we were going to get that Very Special Episode. This is a boarding school drama after all...

[...] which is compiled and imprinted on their CPUs. Wait until you see how big Kat's eyes go when she reviews the compiler. Then, she finds out the computer it runs on looks suspiciously like the computer her Mom showed her. Kat then takes two plastic bags, a corn chip, and a toothpick and makes an aetheric-science computer of her own.

It certainly sounds like others could see the purple shield for instance, but the purple line was something that she could sense. Incidentially, that chapter is the ONLY time we have seen robots with a weapon of some kind, saws and what might be hammers in that instance. S1 is kind of a special case since he was holding a sword, but theres no indication that S13 even knows how to fight. Although tankbot has claws that look like they could do some major damage.

Yeah yeah that sensing one!! S13 SCARED ME when he was running around town with Weather Station Mantis. Sliding down the side of a building? Bounding around like super man? I think it's safe to say he'd know his way around a baseball bat. He was just using a crappy make shift body too. Imagine his physical abilities if he were to have a real body. Barber Bot looked deadly too.

Yea, Barber Bot would be kind of intimidating with his multiple arms and sharp implements. Anyways, I meant that Robot doesn't seem to be the fighting type. Just because the arena battle was scripted doesn't mean he can't wield a weapon if forced to. S13 is kind of in a wierd grey area because he is the only known robot that can directly interface with its direct ancestor and he is a complex character of his own right. The thing is though, is that outside of dangerous looking graspers or those like Barber Bot, we haven't seen any actual weapons on the modern robots. Oh yea, theres the laser cows, who could certainly use their lasers if threatened. Edit: Also, I don't think his body is that crappy if it can take a landing from maybe 50 feet above the ground and the general abuse from jumping around buildings and remain intact.

I always assumed that S13 ability to do that was because he is "elite" and able to push his body far past it's capabilities.

I thought S13 (e.g., Robot) has an amazing body, capable of levels of parkour that other robots can only dream of. Remember, the one who said that the body is crappy is Kat, who has exceedingly high standards for herself; until Robot can replicate the feats of Eglamore or even Ysengrin, she'll still be modifying and tweaking it.
