Maybe they're closed eyes that just look like bolts?

Noticed that the new robot has one normal eye and one bolt. It's original version just has 2 bolts instead of eyes. How did it see? Through the glass in its chest? I'm with what starrylight said. Maybe they're eyelids, or the eye is the slit. Really though, this is the first time we've seen an origional Diego robot with its eyes closed. Out of the ones with visible eyes anyway. As for how it was able to see without 'eyes', there are several robots without apparent eyes among diegos origionals. The modern H model also looks like it doesn't have eyes, but there is a faceplate that could hide them.

Every time I looked at this page, something seemed weird about reading Kat's dialog. Then I realized that in the comic "looking" has two i's.
