But the sky showing through the trees looks blue... what TIME is it anyway? It was midday when she left the Court, and not that much time has past. "I will go on ahead and inform everyone" - Who does he mean by "everyone"? I doubt it means every single creature in the forest; there are likely too many. Perhaps he means "everybody of importance" or "the leaders of the various groups."

The only point of reference we have is its some time before a regular mealtime. "I'll swing by later and we'll get something to eat" Kat's giving Annie enough time to do what she has to before going out, and Annie is still in uniform so this might be taking place after class and they're planning to meet for dinner. Then she crosses town and meets Jack Then she goes to her room and has a big fight with Rey Then she flees across the bridge and slightly singes Eglamore Then she is found by Ysengrin and falls asleep for an unknown time Then Jones shows up and stuff happens. Then we see the sky is blue...not starry.

I don't see how Coyote wouldn't be able to inform every creature of the forest. Them coming to the meeting is another question.
ED: or getting there in time. x D

Just had a thought about the family Annie stays with over the summer. What if they are related or knew about another forest dweller? One shot with an arrow while meeting his lover? Interesting. Would Coyote want Annie to find out? Given that Coyote seemed to be ignorant of what exactly the Court did to make the Annan impassible, I suspect he likewise doesn't know what fate befell Greeney McElfboy.

Mass e-mail, corporate style ;D "I hope everyone at Gillitie Woods joins me in welcoming Antimony Carver, a promising young student of GC. She will be staying with us for the next few months for an open exchange of ideas. An informal meet-and-greet will be set up at the end of the week, you will receive an e-mail regarding the same with further details. Attendance mandatory.
Warm regards, Coyote
Coyote, Trickster God juggles_his_eyes@Gillitie.org"
-------------------------------------- Sorry about that, couldn't resist
I wonder if we will see much of Annie's stay in the forest or will the next chapter skip right to the next school year like last time. Also i wonder if Tom will take vacation from the comic this year.

Wild guess: Coyote scared Annie merely because her sense of wonder was dulled before such a visit - and We Can't Have That. On the good side, she's very cute like this. What if they are related or knew about another forest dweller? One shot with an arrow while meeting his lover? Even if not... I wonder if we will see much of Annie's stay in the forest or will the next chapter skip right to the next school year like last time. ...the investigation must go on, and since there are highly plot-relevant things to do, it's more likely the next chapter than just a timeskip. "Bring her along" - Is there a forest village of sorts where everyone lives? Coyote had gone ahead somewhere but Ysengrin already knows where he's going which means it can't be random tree number 3,010. Not squirrels, then. At least shadow-people probably live in a village... and maybe Coyote's "official" court meeting place. Also i wonder if Tom will take vacation from the comic this year. Right. Annie is scared, so we should be scared a bit too. It's necessary for the harmony of perceptions. Haha, love the email! That is EXACTLY how it should go down. XD Though the most likely variant is less complicated. ;D

Yeah. Interesting, about what Y' thinks now... I have the suspicion he knows better than to ask too many questions. Oh wow. I just realized Coyote never moves his mouth when he talks. He just got at least 13% creepier. Want to make it extra special creepy? Down at /tg/, we've decided Slaanesh would be voiced by Tim Curry. I think it works well here too. Try imagining that while you read his lines.

That just pulled a Moment of Awesome, cause whoever would've thought Tom could make the promise of practical jokes a SCARY thing?

Interesting. Would Coyote want Annie to find out? Given that Coyote seemed to be ignorant of what exactly the Court did to make the Annan impassible, I suspect he likewise doesn't know what fate befell Greeney McElfboy. Yes, probably. I realized the same some time ago.

He knows that Green Guy vanished and Mediums don't know who that "Jeanne" is. He may assume these two were simply killed and forgotten, or compare time and suspect some bigger foul play.

Do we have a reason to think Coyote knows anything about Jeanne?

Whatever the case is, I think the biggest mistake Annie could make is telling Coyote what she knows about Jeanne. I've been worried about that ever since Coyote shrugged off her blabbing other 'secrets'. Coyote already knows they did 'something' to the waters, but the details might end in a cataclysmic event. What the old court did was the most heinous of heinous deeds to be sure.
I hope Annie knows that one is too big a secret to tell, but I worry she doesn't. I worry Coyote won't care that everyone responsible is dead and gone and everyone alive now is ignorant of it.
That would be well and truly not funtimes.
