Hi, everyone! Long-time lurker here: I've wanted to register for about one year, but kept putting off because 1- I already spend way too much time online and really, really need to cut down on the internet. 2- the level here's high; everytime I checked out a thread, someone had already said the thing(s) I would have said, and usually better; so it didn't feel like I could make a significant contribution. But now everyone's been sucked into Zimmyngham and the seraphs are trying to force Kat into doing stuff and things are looking serious/exciting/frightening; so I've finally made up my mind to come in and join the party! Some of you guys may remember me, as we've come across once or twice on the comments section of GGaR and elsewhere on the internet. ^^ Some more info on yours truly: Age: 40. Gender: male. Location: Spain. Favorite Court character: Annie, Kat, Reynardine or Coyote, depending on who's being most awesome at the moment. Random favorite films in no particular order: classic Star Wars, Tron, Delicatessen, Kelly's Heroes, Pan's Labyrinth, most Coen brothers films. Some music I dig: the 80s (esp. Madness and The Cure), J. J. Cale, Coldplay, Ladytron, Nada Surf, Death Cab for Cutie, The Pogues, most Celtic music. Some writers I swear by: Iain Banks, Terry Prattchett, Tolkien, Gene Wolfe, G. R. R. Martin, Lovecraft, Michael Moorcock. Top comics authors: Neil Gaiman, Moebius, Mike Mignola, Alan Moore, Warren Ellis, Grant Morrison, Enki Bilal, Geoff Darrow, Franquin, Brian Lee O'Malley. Mangas and mangakas: Katsuhiro Otomo, Hisashi Sakaguchi, Yuki Urushibara, Ashinano Hitoshi, assorted yuri (go Strawberry Shake!) TV shows: Northern Exposure, Doctor Who, House (first two seasons), Sherlock, Twin Peaks, Adventure Time, Monty Python's Flying Circus. Games I love: Advanced D&D, Warhammer 40K, Myst (Exile, Uru and Revelation) Other webcomics I follow: Dresden Codak, Octopus Pie, Go Get a Roomie, Nimona, Shortpacked! & Dumbing of Age, Girl Genius, Blindsprings. I also do artsy stuff ^^ I have a DeviantARt account: arianod.deviantart.com/ But be warned: there isn't any GK fanart. Yet.

Warmest welcome, arkadi! Warm like being under the blanket after a good night's sleep. And you must make GC fanart, please! One would enjoy seeing a most beloved character in a style yet personal to oneself! I mean seriously, you can draw!

Real Name: Dominik, a German Name since I am a German guy Nicknames: A few common nicknames exist. Lets not use them. Height: about 6,5 feet, with more than 200 punds to measure up. Age: 23 Gender: Male Favorite Games : Witcher 1,2 (and soon 3 I hope), all S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Fallout (ecpecially 1&2) and Bioshock games, and Southpark: the Stick of truth Favorite Court character: Boxbot! Just kidding. To many cool characters around, maybe Robot and Shadow2 Favorite sports: horseback riding as a child and a little climbing as a teenager. Right now I sometimes jog, but way more often I prefer not to Favorite Movies: quite a few, among them Scott Pilgrim vs the world, the other guys, Watchmen, Stardust, let the right one in (the original, not the US-Remake), Mary&Max, Inglorius Basterds, and some others Favorite Books: definitly the Zamonien-Works from Walter Moers, but i fear they loose a lot of quality if you read them in any other language than german. Favorite Series: Firefly and Game of thrones. Or Scrubs and southpark in the comedy department. The latter tought me english way better than all my teachers combined. Finally, tell us a little about yourself: Going to study medicine soon, so there probably wont be much time for the internet

Coldplay and Sherlock ftw haha Also, since you said you're into art, Dresden Codak, AND Girl Genius, you might be the first person I've met who could actually do this: I was looking for a picture of Katerina Donlan, Agatha Heterodyne, and Kimoko Kusanagi with the caption 'FOR SCIENCE!' or some other clever science-related quote. Are you interested?

Thanks a lot for the warm melcome, guys! Warm like being under the blanket after a good night's sleep. Mmm... Yes. That's definitely the best kind of warm ^^ Madness and the Cure, interesting combination.. Well, I like them separated rather than combined But yeah, they're two of the best bands ever! Also, since you said you're into art, Dresden Codak, AND Girl Genius, you might be the first person I've met who could actually do this: I was looking for a picture of Katerina Donlan, Agatha Heterodyne, and Kimoko Kusanagi with the caption 'FOR SCIENCE!' or some other clever science-related quote. Are you interested? Bloody hell, yes! That'd be just AWESOME! Although I'm prepared to bet that bringing those three together would trigger the apocalypse somehow: critical mass, tear a hole in the fabric of the Multiverse or whatever. But that's definitely going on my to-do list. I must warn you, however, that said list is already huge, so it will be some time before I can get around to doing that. I'll let you know!

Real Name: Calvin
Nicknames: CalPal
Age: 22
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 165 lb
Gender: Male
Favorite Games (board games, card games or videogames):
Oh boy, this is a long one. Been getting into tabletop games, so anything like D&D, GURPS, Savage Worlds. Still a lot more to explore! Did card games way back when I was young, but never caught on. Video games... ooh boy, I am a massive addict of Crusader Kings 2 and Europa Universalis 4 right now! Also play Robocraft and Running with Rifles, which are both really fun games. Steam profile is CalPal_The_Great, if you ever want to add me; right now, I'm saving up money to build a proper gaming PC platform.
Favorite Court character: Coyote Favorite sport(s): Not a sportsy guy, but karate is about the closest I can get to that Favorite movie(s): A whole hell of a lot! Just nothing horror. Favorite book(s): Best books I've read are Harry Potter series, first Dune, first two LotR - can't find the third book - and not much else has come to mind, though I should rectify that. Finally, tell us a little about yourself:
I have been an avid follower of Gunnerkrigg Court since "The Great Secret", when they had Coyote's speech on what makes him a God. Followed a few other webcomics, but never really explored many new ones in a while.
My biggest hobby that I want to expand on is brewing beer. Honestly, that has been one of the most satisfying things I've gotten myself into! So far I've brewed two batches of Pale Ale, a batch of Indian Pale Ale and one batch of Canadian Blonde Ale (the last two were with brewing starter kits, with most of the ingredients already mixed together to my disappointment). I'm hoping to eventually get ingredients for my own bona-fide home brew session sometime in the early next year!
As of this post, I also got a really wicked full-time job working at a parts distribution plant with a major automobile company, so life is starting to get set real good for me!
So yeah, that's a summary of me. Howdy everyone!

Bumping this, since I've noticed a large number of new members after the events of the current chapter^^ Huzzah! I thought such a thread had to exist, and I'd have to go find it. But here it is, served up on platter. Name: Alex Nicknames: Burnsey, Red, Lex Age: Charging through my 19th year. Height: around 157cm Weight: 60km or so, last I checked (a while ago) Gender: Je suis une fille Favorite Games (board games, card games or videogames): VG: Many, but topping the list would be - Bioshock series, Journey, Psychonauts, Arkham series, Deus Ex, Civ V, Planescape Torment/Baldur's Gate Series, Silent Hill 2-4, Amnesia BG: Risk, Arkham Horror, Munchkin, Cosmic Encounters, Go, Battlestar Galactica, Twilight Imperium PnP RPGs: Eclipse Phase, UA & some of White Wolfs stuff (mainly God Machine Chronicles/Demon: The Descent) Favorite Court character: Anthony... nah, just kidding. Zimmy (and Gamma, of course). But it's close, I love most everyone. Favorite sport(s): Fencing, and uhhhh.... I find croquet amusing? Favorite Podcast: Welcome to Night Vale. Heh, give me the chance to list things I like, and I'll always mention it. Favorite movie(s): Lots, but some that spring to mind are anything by Studio Ghibli or Pixar (except Cars, or anything Cars related), Only Lovers Left Alive, Beetlejuice, Jacob's Ladder, The Addams Family/Family Values, Pan's Labyrinth and The Big Lebowski, Favorite book(s): If I made a list it'd be heavily populated by the works of Kurt Vonnegut, China Mieville, Douglas Adams, Italo Calvino, Mervyn Peake, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett (still mourning), Thomas Ligotti, Chuck Palahniuk, H.P. Lovecraft and Douglas Hofstadter Finally, tell us a little about yourself:Formerly of dear old London till my parents decided to move the family to the land of sunburn and disappointingly exaggerated threats* of the slithery/creepy crawly kind when I was 16. Am currently a couple of months into my second year of uni studying for a Bachelor of Science (probably eventually majoring in biology) - to what end I've yet to decide. I'm always trying to figure out how to squeeze a few more minutes reading time out of the day. I have a few hobbies, my current passion being trying to learn how to take good pictures. I have a pet snake called Alastair Crawley, even though snakes more slither than crawl. *I've yet to be killed once by a spider or snake.

Favorite Podcast: Welcome to Night Vale. Heh, give me the chance to list things I like, and I'll always mention it. A good friend of mine from college (who I haven't seen in RL in bunches of years) turned me on to that last year. I very nearly put it into my webcomics list but didn't as it is not a webcomic.

Then I was horrified I hadn't discovered it sooner. Now if the live show would just tour Australia.
