Or maybe Parley came out just to watch them and make snarky comments! I know I would.

Of course the original question could be a rhetocial question iplying the poster did not approve which we are answering literally, but hey, it's the internet, and you should expect that kind of thing. It was more along the lines of "I didn't realize GK was set 30 years ago".

Why is everyone supposing this is Smitty's power at work here? It's pretty obviously Parley, if Smitty had been playing a role she would have ended up perfectly on the steps, not halfway in mid-air. Plus, at Parley's initial teleportation, Jones said only that Smitty's power MAY have played a ROLE. Whatever is behind Parley's teleportation, it's largely her. Probably she was just thinking really hard about Smitty and wondering where he was and *POOF* she's there.
Also: Am I the only one who thinks Parley looks like she's on a date of some kind? That outfit is a bit too nice for casual, and the shoes are definitely not normal. Add the movie popcorn, and it looks like someone was going out somewhere.
The question is, was she out on a date with someone else (in denial, as Annie hinted earlier) but nonetheless THINKING about Smitty really hard, or was she just thinking about going on a date with Smitty and the teleportation... somehow added the outfit and popcorn? Maybe she's gone farther along.
The point is moot, as Parley is likely to dodge the question in either case.

Quite a few people dress like that at my school. Is your school also located in the 80s? It's a pretty well-known phenomenon that fashion trends usually cycle in 20-30 year intervals. When I was in high school in the early 2000s we were all wearing 70s-era peasant tops, in middle/elementary school it was 60s bellbottom-esque pants, and now 80s skinny jeans and leggings are back in style. Soon we'll be back to 90s grunge and the great circle of clothing fads will continue anew. Here's an article about shoulder pads. And now to get back on-topic: who else thinks Parley was enjoying a nice time out at the Court movie theatre with her gal pals and maybe got to thinking who she'd like to be there with her? After all I doubt she'd be lounging around watching TV with her shoes on and eating her popcorn from a vendor bag.

After all I doubt she'd be lounging around watching TV with her shoes on and eating her popcorn from a vendor bag. The popcorn pretty much cements it. I don't ever eat popcorn unless I'm watching a movie, the two actions are pretty much glued together. I doubt that she was watching a DVD in her room — their dorm rooms seem pretty rudimentary — so, it was probably a movie theater or something similar. The movie? A romantic comedy, maybe? ( I'm liking the Totally '80s movie marathon idea, but maybe that's just her fashion style.... ;D ) [ edit: her legs are awfully spread out for a standard-sized movie theater. maybe movie night at the student lounge? ]

The first thought: uh-oh. The second thought: Smitty shirks his work. He had to provide her precise and soft landing.

Hey, I just thought of something. Since Annie's mind is off.... um, wandering etherically.... how is her physical body able to remain standing perfectly still like that? Shouldn't she faint or something?
That's pretty much the standard-issue "out of body experience" requirement ;D
(In previous examples, she was either sitting down or lying down, requiring far less exertion.)

I wonder if Jeanne has cut Annie off from her body. She was able to speak the first line, and then silence. Will she be able to talk to Kat anymore?

Someone mentioned that since two frames ago we saw "right where it landed" and then a frame after "i can't get back" that perhaps she'll repeat the can't get back line next frame, which as someone else mentioned, might get missed because of parley popping in.

Even back then, Jones suggests that Smit's own power may have helped. I have no problem this may be the same here: Parley's power erupts chaotically, Smit directs it in a meaningful direction. As of now, this is all speculation though - don't get worked up over it, one way or another. And welcome to the forums, mate! I thought the original teleport was a clashing of powers: George's power: Blip, Andrew and I are off to the bedroom! Andrew's power: We're a class, we should all stay together. This time? It isn't clear at this point. There are issues with the notion that Andrew triggered George's teleport. But it doesn't really look like George was ready to teleport either. I hadn't thought about it as a clashing/merging of powers. That's interesting. I like that idea. I also agree that it isn't clear yet whose powers had what kind of effect.

I wish Annie had done a little more research before this "spacewalk" stage- like grilled Coyote about it all, surely he knows the score? Because right now I don't think they've got enough gun to get Annie back. Even with Parley's amazing bip powers.

Actually, I think all they have to do is have Parley teleport Smitty and Antimony's body to the bottom of the cliff. Jeanne will then trip and lose her hold on the blinker stone, which will fly through the air and land in Antimony's hand 'cause that's where it belongs. Problem solved!
Except it's never going to happen like that.

There are issues with the notion that Andrew triggered George's teleport. But it doesn't really look like George was ready to teleport either. She wasn't ready to teleport onto concrete stairs. She could consider ungraceful crashlanding into chair or bed acceptable. Because right now I don't think they've got enough gun to get Annie back. Even with Parley's amazing bip powers. I don't think Kat's first thought would be "gun". A guided missile, on the other hand... That is, a hover-thingy made of her antigravity device or even normal toy helicopter - able only to descend, aim, close a claw on the stone and return. There's a chance it would be the least vulnerable to ghosts of all alternatives, as completely lifeless and mindless.
