Annie can use semicolons in spoken conversations. That is awesome.

I almost thought Annie was going to let that one slide. I'm so glad she didn't.

Dude, we don't even have any soft evidence. :-) Shippers bug me because of this. "Oh yeah, I bet you Tom is going to have them be a couple. I mean you can totally tell from all those times Annie ever seemed attracted to anyone."

It's very early in the morning that I read this strip and my eyes aren't quite in focus yet. When I first reloaded the page to see the new strip, the first thing I saw was Zimmy in panel 2. My immediate reaction was "yikes!" Then I see she's being "friendly". Yikes, Zimmy, perhaps you shouldn't smile so much...

You chose the least interesting line in the page for this thread, snes. :-P I try to pick lines that are short and non-spoilery. This was one of the shortest lines on the page, so I went with it.

I have once due to a brain-fart gone to the forum when I actually wanted to read the latest page. I don't remember which page, but I have a vague memory of the latest thread-title being kind of a semi-spoiler

Dude, we don't even have any soft evidence. :-) There's an argument for an eventual romantic interest(s) for Antimony from plot symmetry. It's happened to Kat and Alistair, and Winsbury and Janet, and Smit and George. Because Antimony's track through the Court parallels her mother's there would be great symmetry if there were an Antimony triangle to match the Surma-Anthony-Eggers triangle. I think I first said that back in 2008 but I like to repost it to the forum a couple times per year. Jack could fit well into that scenario and there's more reason to suspect him than anyone else; actually Jack could occupy both legs of the triangle.

Boyfriends are unnecessary. She can be her own girl, not tied to anyone else.

I don't actually understand people who have no interest in being romantically attached, but what with Annie still dealing with psychological baggage and her still being a a young girl, I think romance isn't something she really has to have, right now, anyway. Besides, the kid's dad is Anthony Carver. As the daughter of a human-computer, she can be expected to exhibit some of his behavioral tendencies.

Wow, this night has been going on forever, hasn't it? How many months has it been since it's started? Just think, Kat's been sleeping at her desk for like half a year. And this little episode still isn't done.

I love how confident and relaxed (relatively) Zimmy seems right now. She's even teasing Annie. xD Also Annie's serious face. This chapter is great.

Boyfriends are unnecessary. She can be her own girl, not tied to anyone else. Just what I think. I've always thought that Annie gets along fine without a love interest (at most, she has a ghost with a crush on her, whom she views as just a friend). Of course, Tom might actually intend for her to fall in love eventually as part of the "becoming more emotional" thread, but we don't know for certain. Denying that you have a boy-friend/girl-friend doesn't necessarily mean (even in a story) that there's something going on in secret. Think of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", when all those rumors about Harry and Hermione (courtesy of Rita Skeeter) started drifting around Hogwarts. Of course, Zimmy and Gamma's smirks might support the hypothesis....

The expressions across the board for today's comic are amazing. Also hilarious.
Jack's still sleeping away. No more spring in your step mate?

One of next two pages involves Jones or Rey carrying Jack.
The alternatives: 1) Annie carries him down the stairs herself 2) They leave him there, asleep, on a roof, in the cold.
Neither sounds plausible.

I wouldn't expect him to have any spring in his step when he hasn't slept for a while.

The next strip is back at the court; Jack is seen eating a comically large stack of hamburgers.

I wouldn't expect him to have any spring in his step when he hasn't slept for a while. You could say he was positively hopping for a while, and that he's lost his jump on life and that he needs to spring back up- I'm sorry I can't do another Spring Heeled Jack pun.

the Surma-Anthony-Eggers triangle. Dude, get it right. It's the Surma-Anthony-Eggers-Reynardine-Coyote pentagon.
