Okay, now it is a little bit obvious that Annie is Zimmy. Or is it?

Zimmy reminds me of Larfleeze on this page. On a slightly related note: Etheric rain. Some stay dry and others feel the pain.

What does Gamma see? Does she no longer recognize Annie as Zimmy?

Hmmmm... wow, that's scary. I wonder if the teachers turned on the rain or something. Or unless Jack timed the event to occur shortly before the rain would start.

What does Gamma see? Does she no longer recognize Annie as Zimmy? That looks to be the case since Friday's page. Also, this is no surprise to many here. The switch was increasingly obvious as time wore on. Anyway, why is Spider-Jack fizzling? Is Jackingham or whatever reliant on the station running? And it seems like he's... hot? My guess: Jones set her own time limit on Annie's live fire impromptu training session, and said session is over. The power station is cancelled mid collection cycle, and the etheric rain is acting like Gamma works for Zimmy. Notice how the rain is purple like the pure etheric bolt fired off into the distance. Edit: Also, is it just me or are the comments in panels 5 and 6 coming from the Spider? It looks like it, especially #6.

Well. That's...rather terrifying.
Note the split tail on the word bubble in panel 4; maybe implying multiple voices from one person...

Well, the power station caused rain last time it was activated, but it was etherically inert. Maybe Jones did something. She seems to be the only competent one amongst the teachers which showed up at the station.

Well, the power station caused rain last time it was activated, but it was etherically inert. Jack obviously has some technological talent, for example the modified program that he used to capture Reynardine. Perhaps as well as starting the station up he changed how it works, or simply changed the operating parameters, so that this time the rain isn't etherically inert.

Also notice Zimmy-look-a-like's hair is looking more and more like Annie's hair. It is much more tamer than it has been before.

Maybe Jones did something. She seems to be the only competent one amongst the teachers which showed up at the station. The lady who mentioned she was qualified to operate the facility and the robot both prove you wrong, man. I think he meant "Have some idea what is going on" rather than "competent at anything". It's a shame for Spider Jack that he's not prepared like regular Jack in panel 6 here www.gunnerkrigg.com/archive_page.php?comicID=458 . The rain seems to be having a different effect here than it did in Power Station. Something Jack did or something Jones has done? Or maybe it's not related to the power station at all, and it's just regular rain (ok, a bit of a coincidence there, but if everything is going according to SpiderJack's plan, you'd have thought he would have left enough time). See the pink and purple coming with the rain in the last panel - is that the dawn sky? Further specualtion - Zimmy is very, very scared of losing Gamma, and is very insecure. She fears that Gamma being cut off from everyone else (because she can't speak English) is the only reason she's still with her. (see also, Zimmy telling Gamma that everyone is saying Gamma is ugly and stupid) That's why she's so terrified of Annie/Gamma - Annie can speak Polish. Zimmy did not react well to the discovery. Add to this Annie not being a bitch or a psycho, and having a better relationship with Mr. Dentist, and it's perhaps clear why Zimmy threatened. And that's partly why Zimmy is "confused" with Annie at the moment - she want's to be more like Annie as she thinks Annie would be a better friend for Gamma than she can be.

Maybe Jones did something. You know, I get the feeling there might be a bit of a falling out going to happen between Jones and Annie when this is over. Like when Jones tells Annie something along the line of how "interesting" all this was, and that they'll just "get over it".

obviously, Annie is changing. and it seems like she is switching back to being Zimmy, like a million readers predicted, and presumably, since there can't be Two Zimmys (one is bad enough) we'll see Zimmy turn red haired soon.
I have to admit though, since we never when and where the initial switch happened, I had the horrible thought: what if Annie is just now "turning into" Zimmy?
=
and the rain is definitely acting backwards from "Power Station": previously, the "power station rain" came before Zimmy entered Zimmingham, now the rain seems to be bringing reality back into the illusion. (that purple stuff looks like the sky leaking into the spider building).
and SpiderJack definately doesn't like the rain; so it looks like his plan's been foiled.

Annie's hair is turning black, and her eyes have turned red. Just like Zimmy. She was fine a few pages back. Admittedly, the hair could just be dramatic effect. The eyes not so much.

Jack may have invited Annie and Rey to the power plant so he could trap them there. he turned on the power plant to attract Zimmy's attention (who I still think was needed mostly to open the door to "Zimmyland", so spiderJack can grab memoryJack), then nailed Rey to the wall to keep Annie occupied. then the GC cavalry arrives and Jack leaves. Jack may have hoped that Annie wouldn't be able to escape from that situation. Rey is out of it, and Annie's in trouble. except, Jones shows up out of nowhere and frees Annie (assuming that Jones is on Annie's side). so now, Annie is free to interfere with Jack's plans, although without Rey (which might be good... Jack still doesn't know where Rey is). Jack may have hoped to trap Jack before the rain started, and he simply couldn't get the job done in time with Annie/Gamma/Zimmy hanging around and distracting.

I also interpreted the purple stuff to be the reality shining through as the illusion is washed away by the rain. Wonder what happens when the ground is washed away. (if this is what's happening)
